I have seen E-town post that before for other events and never really enforced it, but with that said..If they wanted too , I guess they could.

I would not let that stop you from trying to get in.

It is one of only 4 BDS blower gen 1's in the country that I know of.
1 Pops kirkwood. (retired) full race truck
2 Alex Redlightningssf EFI BDS 8-71 (pretty nice setup, everything fit under the stock hood)
3 a black bds 6-71 blown seen in Carlisle PA

yeah

Thats a N.J. ,E-Town Noise rule and has nothing to do with MM&FF. (they are allowed only a certain number of noise days a year)

and NO I do not have bullets. I have the oval ones.

No matter anyway , My truck may not be done by then anyway.

VINNIE
I thought at one point you were running the silver bullet catback with the headers.

The stock suspension rule is lame. With these trucks getting faster and faster, the rules that limit it to leaf springs in the rear is plain stupid,....not to mention it's nowhere close to be ideal for racing or the safest thing either..

Leaf springs were installed by the manufacture to haul heavy loads, not haul a$$.

I changed my truck over to a Ladder-Bar suspension, so now I can no longer attend FFW or an event like this. But, "I" built my truck from the ground up for me, no one else,.......... I'll race somewhere else until things change.

You wait until one of JDM's big customer trucks ditch their leafs in favor of a 4-link or ladder-bar rear set up, the rules on stock-type suspensions in FFW and other events (where they have a major influence) will magicly disappear. But remember now, they don't make the rules.

I don't see anything wrong with this rule. It keeps the playing field more level. This is a magazine shootout, not a race event. They want more people showing up, not just 4 or 5 trucks with different rear suspension.

Besides, the leaf setup works very well if you put the time into setting it up right. Many people here have already done a good job of it. Hell, I cut 1.51 60fts and pulled the wheels off the ground a foot at 4760lbs with my old stock suspension setup. I've seen 8 second Camaros at my local track with stock springs and Caltracs. That's not to say that ladder bars or a 4 link aren't superior, because they are. But the leafs work fine too.

I think it'd be awesome to have a stock block comp in there as well. I would love to participate, but I don't think having a stock block would make me very interesting to the big boys.

You're on Johnny!
But since I never claimed my truck as a race truck...what should the compitition be? Who has broke down less? (I'll bet I win) Who has towed more? (I'll bet I win) Who has commuted farther to work in it? (I'll bet I win) Who's truck requires less maintenence? (I'll bet I win) So, you just name the competition, and I will be happy to go a few rounds with your wife! hahahahaha!
