But as Johnny, Jeff, Me and others are finding out these things are unfriggingbelivable for the DD Family Car
OK it's really hard getting use to NO tire spin in the Jeep and all, but WOW I've never seen or driving anything that has the traction these things do. You can AND I HAVE stomp it to the floor from a dead stop in the rain and go 0 to 60 in under 5sec's, amof they go 0-60 and back to 0 in under 19 sec's, my L couldnt stop from 30MPH in 19 sec's, hehehehehehe
As said the price is insane, but there is NO comparison with the two on a apples to apples basis. The stripped down model is 39K, and back in 02 I paid 32.5 for my L (before tax, loan, bs, etc...) if L's were still for sale they'd prob be close enough to that these days too. Ok my Jeep has a 6K option so I paid 46K but again for what the Jeep comes with compared to a L in options truly leaves no comparison.
For those that dont know take a look at what this bad boy comes with 100% stock and you'll find yourself comparing it more to vehicles more like a Porsche Cayenne Turbo thats double the price and not as fast ; o ) These SRT's are more Mercedes than Jeep now and the Luxury is def there from head to toe. My son sits back there and puts on a set of wireless head phones, grabs the remote and watches DVD's, while I listen to Satellite Radio and watch the Nav System point out every gas station on my route (it even tells you the name of the gas station, hehehe....)
BELIEVE ME YOU NEED TO KNOW WHERE THEY ARE!!! : o ()
The Rearview Mirror is a Phone, the frigging car talks to you and listens back : o (), The lights, wipers, headlight, mirrors, seats, everything adjust and turns itself off and on without touching a button, chit last week I got in it and it told me I had a flat, (I did) &^@$%(&@$^%(@$& but since it has run flats I drove it with 0 pressure and went and got it fixed. Heated Seats, Sunroof, Video/Audio inputs, built in Cooler, 5 speed slap shifter, and to boot it's AWD and you can drive it in the snow. These things are on rails when it comes to the 1/4 mile, I dont think I've seen a 100% stock one run worse than 13.6 first time out and many are kissing the 12's 100% stock.
For what it is I thinks it's simple amazing......
NOT A LIGHTNING, but man if your in love with the Launch at the track and enjoy getting pinned to the seat everytime you floor your schitt, this is for you.....
Oh ya, and "if" the bug should bite Jeff, there's always this mod....

6lb kit on a stock 6.1L Hemi motor produces:
500 rear wheel hospower & 507 rear wheel torque
