Post **TRACK RESULTS W/SWANSON CHIP !!!!!!***

Ok here you go

R/T..... 738
60'..... 2.018
330.......5.623
1/8.......8.567
MPH.......83.64
1000......11.111

1/4.......13.283
MPH.......103.50

My other two runs were 13.34/13.38 @102

Im so happy my 2000 is finally as fast as my old 99.This swanson chip rocks!!!!!!! Its not great for the street but it sure is awesome for the strip!!Im still gonna get sals combo for the street! for now its time to chrome the wheels again and get the f1 hood.Im done for performance for a while.Ill post pics soon as my truck is chromed with a light grey soft tonneau and cobra F-1 Hood!!
I think this is the fastest 2000 yet amongst us.I can thank swanson for that!
I also saw a very unhappy superchip owner running 13.9-14.4s.What maks him unappy is his truck ran consistant 13.9s at a higher mph before the chip! You want a chip call swansons or SAL!!!!

Oh sure! Let's see a timeslip. I mean an undoctored one. You know with proof that it is your time and not the guy in the next lane. With witnessed signatures and a seal. Oh, and if you give me all that, I'll say, "What I was asking for was a 13.0 truck with just a chip and filter! Can't be done."

Congrats!!!

Thanks guys!! I am so happy.I finally feel like this truck is running up to its potential! I had a feeling that the only real variances in these trucks are with the computer.Im sure I was pretty accurate assuming that. These slips are just like my 99.My truck is up to 2000 miles too.Im sure that helps. The buck at cruising is enough to agrevate the hell out of ya but With times like these,I can live with it!

Did I mention there was a stock C_5 corvette running 13.3s!!!!!I ran a 13.2!!! Yes his speed was 2mph faster but its who gets there faster right Keep this in mind.Once again I went from a 13.9-13.2 with $500 worth of mods and no juice.Tell me another vechicle you can do that with!! can you say LIGHTNING!!! That is 7 tenths for $500.

LQ - It's a shame you could'nt have waited until you had 2000miles on your vehicle with the Superchip, and the Downs filter, to do a fair comparison. You might have come real close to the Swanson deal without all the side effects of running the ragged edge. I'm sure, you and a lot of other people with 00L's would love to run 4-5 tenth's quicker in the quarter with just a chip and filter, and have a truck that is dead on reliable and streetable. I think most of us are pretty paranoid about some of the problems with the 99L's with chips which have or had "no boost" problems and leaky intercoolers. Even Sal complained about "boost loss" with his chip. I wish you the best of luck with your set-up. I am sure you will keep us informed on how everything holds up and works out.

Lightningquick and crush69,

Yep Danny's chip is awesome. I talked to Danny about the surging last night on the way home. Mine is real minor though and really didn't notice any thing till I was driving down the seawall here in Galveston in heavy traffic. Sad to say I was driving and not cruising I work on the island.

Anyway.... I'm going to leave mine the way it is.

Lightningquick congrats on your times. Really awesome!!!

crush69..... Ok it's your turn now, mebbe 13.10

There is no comparison between the superchip and swansons. The difference in feel alone is incredible. There is no way the 2000 superchip was anywhere near as agressive as swansons.Soon as I put in swansons,I felt the HUGE!!! difference.More difference between chips than from stock to superchip!!

My only two mods are downs ford intake and swanson chip.

Lightningquick - Why do you say that the Swanson chip is not great for the street? What type of gas were you running at the track?

I only run 94 octane Sunoco gas in my truck.Whether it has a chip or not.I feel a little diffence in performance from 92 octane.First let me say that Ive heard that SWANSONS regular performance chip will be just fine for the street and strip! .I had danny swanson give me SUPER FIRM/ABRUPT shifts and He gave me a little more timimg for more performance.

1. The shifts are a little harsh for street driving.(IM NOT COMPLAINING)This is what I asked for

2.Due to the extreme timing there is a slight surging at cruising speed.Soon as you give it any throttle at all its gone!

I wanted an extreme chip that brought my times down dramatically. This is what I asked for, this is what I got.I AM VRY HAPPY!
