This is the concept - please do not post there unless you are keen on having your messages removed ... and the archive is not up to date.

I thought a visual might help generate some category thoughts...

You also may want to consider each authors email address showing up it the "author" box. This way if we have a specific question for one member we won't have to take up space on the board, plus we will have a good idea that the other person will see his message. This can be an option when you register - "Do you want your email address displayed?"

Tom G,

The policy of the boards is the block the public display of email addresses. You are more than welcome to add your's to yorur signature file, but I am not going to aid spammers in cultivating email lists. Early on I received a bunch of email from people that claimed I sold their email address to some company. Needless to say, this was not the case. Since then email addresses have been blocked from display. There have been many discussions on this already and I don't think I'll be changing my mind...

Sounds like a great idea to me. I would probably even make it my browser startup page.

How about also having a detailing section. I'm sure MetallicBlue would like that

Detailing techniques are not specific to the Lightning, there is already a Maintenance Forum...

As long as the Lightnings are still F-150's, the 5.4 engine is in both, similar transmissions fit both, warranty is done by the same dealers, wheels, tires, doors, hoods, bumpers fit both, etc...

...I don't see the point.

There will be no added functionality (i.e. spellcheck) on the Lightning boards if they come to fruition. The functionality will be exactly the same as these message boards...

Spellcheckers are not needed!

Either learn to spell or post it in Word and then run spell checker on it. After running spell checker cut and paste it here!

I really don't think we should have a forum for "***** out" arguing. If you need to just visit the LS1 site for that kind of stuff.

Just kidding about the LS1 comment, because we all know that there will always be leftovers stuck on yours shoes when you come back here.

Steve

I would be more than happy to help with a FAQ section. We should make it a mandatory thing newbies should have to read when signing on. hehe

Let me know if you get overwhelmed with both sites and you need a hand.

It appears that a Lightnings only BB is a good idea if the Lightnings subforum BB we have now doesn't serve Lightnings well enough or is broken in some other way. I haven't been able to detect either condition so I'll venture this question; if it ain't broke, why fix it? I wonder if now is a good time to try on my Nomex suit...

Exclamation

I hesitate on a flame page. The lack(or rarity) of religion/politics type battles and the civility are one of the things that gives this board a feel of class.
