4 weeks for JDM Exhaust!!!!

WOW, It is going on 4 weeks now and I still have not recieved my 2,000$$$ JDM exhuast system that I ordered. My truck has been apart for weeks now and I need to get it back together. Everytime I call they tell me it will be there within 2 days. that was 2 weeks ago.. Is this normal for that company or is it just me. Not sure how long it takes to ship a package one state over but 4 weeks seems kinda long. At least I know for future mod ordering...

I would be willing to bet you credit card was hit the day you ordered. If they don't follow through cancel and go elsewhere.

All the parts just came in today from Kooks. We used to build everything but the headers in house. We recently hired Kooks to make everything head to toe. This put us in a situation to where we had a few weeks wait time. I know I have spoken with a few customers who had the Exhaust on back order and told them about the wait. Every sales guy in the office knew of the wait too. We were on a "two week" basis with Kooks so that what we were telling people. However it took closer to 6 weeks. In this industry unfortunatley sometimes these things happen.

I apologize for the wait but yours will be at your door step on Friday or Monday latest. Trust me this is not the way we like things to go.

Jeff,

Your order was placed May 1st thats only 3 weeks this monday. Also I spoke to Jay who placed the order and he told you at least two weeks, and it will be there Friday.

i had the same problem and all I ordered was an intake. granted it wasnt 4 weeks, but it took them 5 days JUST to process the order, because I checked my bank account online for when it was charged. Then they told me it would be to me within 2 days. It came a week and half later.

Now they just jacked the price of the Silver Bullet too. Guess they werent getting enough money as it was

Well to be quite honest we would be losing money selling it at the old price. The price of Stainless steel goes up by the minute. We dont just decide to "jack up the prices" we have to adjust to cost. Your air kit has been handled. Maybe most dont understand that with the volume of orders that are placed sometimes things slip through the cracks. Trust me dealing with big companys like we do the same things happen to us. Do we jump on the internet right away and start moaning, we call them and politely check in on it. I understand how people want there parts the day before they ordered them because im that same person. Sometimes you just have to understand that mistakes happen and no ones perfect. We try our best, thats all i can say.

im not moaning here JIM, all I am saying is you guys need to do something. I called you guys twice actually and I was very calm and polite both times. I recieved my tracking number the day of delivery I believe. You are a big name company that deals with a ton of customers, and most of us would expect ***** service from little no name companies, but from a supporting vendor and giant name in the Lightning/Mustang community just should not be. I dont think I would have been as pissed as I was if my order was just processed sooner, I understand shipping gets behind and such, so I would have been mad with UPS/FedEX and not you guys. But 5 days to just PROCESS the order that I made should not have happened. Maybe hire someone better to handle the sales department, or even just another person. These are all just suggestions. Anyway best of luck with future customers

Its amazing how people are so quick to jump on the computer and bash someone so quickly when they dont get instant satisfaction. (No matter who the company is)
I know first hand how busy JDM can be and I have been fustrated before also but I didnt **** and moan like a little girl on the internet about it.

Jdm is not a huge company by any means personall wise. I think they have 8 employees total, 4 of which are Jim Sr. and 3 mechanics, Julie who is the backbone of the office then you have Jim Jr. and Jay who do all the sales, answer the phones all day and get Jim coffee and Andrew who takes care of shipping! That is a hell of a lot of work for a couple of people to do so how about cutting them a little slack when they cant control what goes on outside their walls! I've watched them bust their a$$es for the Lightning community and they are very giving as well.

It makes me laugh that there are some of you guys out there that had 1 bad experience with a tuner yet you will bash them at any given chance. Just let it go man - Life is too short to be so angry.

This is of course just one mans opinion!
