hmmmm the pic im using is 5kb.....i resized and reformatted the original image.and it doesnt seem to slow anything down on my 56k...pages still seem to load ok....but ill get rid of it if you wish me to...

Yours loads quick but go to this page https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/003266.html and see how long it takes to load! Some of the pics are over 40k.

Yours loads very quickly for me, ZorPrime and I have a very slow connection here at home. The one CA's using does take quite a while, but I think all that is needed is to re-format the image as you did. I kinda like the picture, but I guess it's really up to Steve. By the way, I like your ride, and don't let the Dodge boys comments about your wing get you down.

I did remove after seeing the first complaint just so you know.
I didn't notice a difference and my computer is only a pentium 166 with a 33.6 modem so I guess I don't have the slowest computer out there. No harm done!

Once you have loaded the page once the images are in your Temporary Internet Files folder. If you clear them out you will see how long it really takes someone to load the whole pages with all of those images.

I did clear my cache to test that very thing. The page loaded fine for me and I said to CA that if people complained I would take it down. I guess my overload on RAM does help my computer out quite a bit.

Mine loads the 5-10k images without hestitation (266 with 96MB ram on a 48,000 connection) but some of the images were in the range of 40kb-190kb and were taking forever. I see Steve made a new forum for people to test their sigs but told people not to put images in their location.
I am just trying to help us with "regular" connections out so we can access pages as fast as possible.
