The light of the fogs isnt as important as the design of the light output
IN real fog what fogs do is light the road direct in front of you essentially so you can see the edge of the road

Most of the "upgrade" fog bulbs posted about on this forum are actually over wattage headlight bulbs - the 9005s and the silver stars and such are all headlight bulbs that are 65-80 watts in a 40 watt circuit.

The nokya's are offered in an H4 (cross references to the 9145 stock #) and are intended for use as "fog lamp" bulbs. Although I agree with you aftermarket hella, piaa, and other quality brands probably have a better beam pattern than our factory fogs.
