Just curious who has held on to their truck the longest and still owns it today?? I have had my 99 since mid 2000 and still own it with 51,000 miles on her.

How about some others?

Got my 00 in spring of 00, she's got 60,xxx miles on her.

 

paid for mine on august 18,1999 and have 12,000 miles on it.

 

I've only had mine a year but plan to keep it the rest of my life. That may sound crazy, but I can't think of a better truck (with great value) to always have and still turn heads as I grow old!!

 

Have had my '00 since March 2000 with 36,000 miles.

 

This don't tell anyone much. How about telling in years and mos. Me? about 4 mos. going on forever!

 

Wow, looking back at paperwork, I bought it Jan 26th, 2001. I thought I had it before then.... Oh well

I have owned my '99 since July of 99. It has about 33,000 miles on it.

 

Got my 2000 L in March of 2000, just hit 20 K and a million smiles.

 

I'm not sure if a Lightning will "turn heads" in 20 years, but I'm definitely keeping mine forever. A man needs a truck. And if you have to have a truck, why not a fast one?

Driven it every day since. Been to the track a few times every year. Just polished off my first set of brakes and have never seen more than 14,000 miles on a set of tires. My monthly budget includes $100/month for fuel, and $40/month for tires..... Doesn't use a drop of oil and my everyday 91-octane street tune yielded a 13.17 at the track last month. My favorite mod was the line-loc
