Who has Owned their Lightning the Longest??
Ordered in May '99
Picked up at dealer on July 3, 1999 (That'd be 6 yrs. and 9 mos. ago)
70,000 miles and perfect! No probs whatsoever.
Paid full MSRP but all other SVT dealers in town wanted $5K over at the time.
Still looks and runs so good I can hardly stand it! Gets compliments all the time. I rode my Harley over to Daytona Beach yesterday for Bike Week (about a 50 mile trip each way). My wife drove the L and I followed her. (Wanted to see what all those non-L drivers get to look at.) I have an ARE cover and I'm telling you, that back end looks fantastic!

Seems like these trucks either don't last long or they just don't get driven. My buddy has an '02 with 129,000 miles and still going strong. Never been touched, though I'm sure it could use a set of plugs and an intercooler cleaning!
Just got mine...I think I've put 20 miles on it so far.

Bought my '99 new in Aug. of '99... only reason I sold it was to purchase an '04 new in May of '04. So, I guess I haven't owned this particular truck the longest here... but I've been a Gen 2 owner since Aug. of '99.
