I've had good luck.....until a month ago.

I have probably beat 10 LS1 cars. I used to own a WS6 (LT1). The last one I ran was from a stop light, he was behind me. He had Drag radials on the rear and skinny's on the front...exhaust was loud as hell. We took of from the light and I squeezed the throttle about 10 mph, the truck broke loose about the time it shifted and I was cross way of the road...got off the gas and he went around me....caught up about a half mile down the road. I eased up along side at about 50 mph, he goosed it, I goosed it and it was on....I set sail and started pulling slowly ahead...his nose fell back to the rear bumper and..........boom...I sprayed him with oil and spare parts. Yea, I was faster but his stayed together Shortly I was on a tow truck headed home.

He did say he was shocked as I started to pull away and I must admit he was pretty cool about it, afterall he did get a good dose of Mobile 1 synthetic, piston rods and chuncks of block.

Most of the problem is Lightly modded L's a trying to square off with heavily modded LS1's. Nitrous equiped LS1's will beat a 4# lower pulley and an air filter all day long.

Put better rods in your truck, go with a KB or spin the heck out of a ported Eaton (16psi), get you some good tires, exhaust, plenty of fuel and air...tune it and tell them to put their money where their mouth is.

I notice you have big wheels on your truck,do you race with them? If you do then know this ....even if your wheel/tire combo is as light as factory.....when you move the mass away from the center as in 22" it robs some hp,and a shorter-stiffer sidewall will not flex causing more trascion loss. find some lightweight 17" wheels and get some Mickey Thompson drag radials, ease just out of the water box, heat'um real good. then stage and power brake just till the truck tries to lunge forward and when the 3rd yellow lights up......nail the ****

No, I havent raced the 22's, haha.

All times are on stock 18's with F1's. LFP traction bars.
I guess I need to get some drag radials or slicks soon....
