HRP Results...Friday night
My truck shifts the 1-2 at about 5700rpm and the 2-3 at around 5800rpm. I have to disagree with Andre about the shift points issue though. The reason you want to raise them is to maximize the area under the curve. When I was using the stock shift points my rpm was falling way off (sorry I don't have my notes in front of me) and and that point my truck was only pulling 300rwhp. We did some basic math and figured that if we raised the shift points it would maximize the curve.

Was that you at HRP yesterday? Saw a Red "L" and put a note on the windshield about the HALO club.
Its OK to disagree with me guys, but we will see on Sunday who's time slips will speak for themselves. Its all in how you setup the truck to run.

Andre,
nope that wasn't me...mine is a black L. I did some more thinking though. If memory serve's me you are running 3.73's with an aftermarket converter..right? If my mind is working right that would alter your fall off points on the shifts. *dunno* I am sure everyone's results will vary.
BTW....did you get any back to back numbers on the gears? How about the stall?
thanks,
Mike B.

"back to back numbers on the gears", meaning times run with the two different gears, yes. It was the 3:73 that put me in the 12's. It also created launch problems due to torque and HP getting to the rear wheels easier. I have since added drag shocks, and slicks to pull a 8.6043 1/8 mile at 89.42 but with a lousey 60 ft., 2.4295. If I ever get this thing to let me come off with any RPM at all I think it will make its best pass ever. DUH! You know what I mean.
