MRBBQMAN, Check out my link above for my truck. I have smoked many a Dodge Ram with it. You wanna run my Triton V10? If you're ever in Jax, let me know. My 7500 lb. truck against your what 5500 lb? You have the weight advantage. What motor do you have? I've waxed the 318's and got a couple lengths on the 360 cu in reg cab, short beds. Shouldn't be a prob, 60" TV, 72" TV, 80,000lb tractor trailer? Yes, I've pulled a 80,000lb. tractor and trailer about a mile. Not in 4 low either, 2 high. Not a lot of throttle either. Just a little push to get it rolling. These trucks are torque monsters.

Shonut, I don't have a L, but I thought I should post here in your defense. I have seen SEVERAL races between a L and a Chuvy LS1, and I must say that the Bolt sure did win all of them. 2muchpwr.....a win is a win, it's all about who gets there first and I am sure it will always be the Lightning.

Just my $.02

I hope you all don't get this upset over a fellow owner losing. If that was the case all we would see in the news would be riots of f-body owners.

I think its safe to say that these two vehicles are very close in performance times and if you disagree then you might want to do a little searching through your archives. You have several of your own admitting defeat, but I guess its possible they don't all shift like you. You must be practicing on your gay a$$ boyfriend! Get a life and a real car or better yet a truck!

JUST A LITTLE HINT TO SHOW NO HARD FEELINGS!

It is possible to look through the archives with out the search button so try a different excuse Mr. JACK OFF white TA.

I just find it incredibly funny that these guys are reading a Lightning board...and then bothering to accuse kills of being imagined. LOOK...no one is disputing that your treasured F-bodies are faster in the quarter mile at a drag strip. In the 1/8th mile, on the street, however...they obviously dont measure up too good. Take yer medicine. And coming back and posting more quartermile times of 12.6, or 12.4 is still not gonna help you beat a lightning on the street in the 1/8th mile stoplight dual. Life goes on.

Thumbs up

Jax, Those WS6's really haul *** and are good comp for our trucks. TOO BAD YOU DON"T HAVE ONE! When you want real speed, get a WS6 or better yet, get an L. Then come back and continue the trash talking.

ATOMHEART, the link to this topic was posted on an LS1 board, and obviously, a few of us found it pretty amusing. Belive me I don't think many LS1 owners would trade their beloved F-Bodies for a Ford let alone for a "brick with wheels".

Wink

Go home! It'll be OK HUGGER!

Why do you bother to keep comparing your cars performance to that of a Brick with wheels. All you are doing is making your car look even more pathetic.

If this is a Ford vs. Chevy thing for you then go race a Syclone, either way your left behind.

Check it out!

Cool

This conversation is far from the facts, and truth now. I will take the time to distinguish between the BS, and the meaningful.

1: One individual(Shonut)raced, and beat an LS1 on the street. (Truth)

2: This thread was not a "trash" talking thread, but now is. (Fact)

3: This thread was simply started to discuss a victory & nothing more. (Truth)

4: We now have "outsiders" causing problems here, and they have no proof or evidence to disprove what Shonut has said. They were not there, when Shonut raced (Fact).

5: I'm a GM & Ford fella, but I've seen a lot of LS1's race Lightnings. Sometimes LS1's win, and sometimes they lose in this senario! (Fact)& (Truth).

6: The Lightning will win 90% of stop light street races against most cars with an experienced driver. (Fact)

7: The LS1's will win 50% of the time past 90-100MPH against a Lightning with an experienced driver. The other 50% they will usually stay together through 130MPH & the LS1 will pull slowly. (Fact)

8: There are "only" a certain amount of Gen II Lightnings, and a half are enthusiasts on this board. They will modify, and improve there vehicles performance. Finding a "stock" Lightning on the road will be near impossible statistically. (Fact)

9: Do you need more facts, and truth, or do you now want to upgrade your ideas, and thoughts from ignorant to stupid? You do know the definition of ignorant & stupid; correct? If not, then let me enlighten you.

Ignorant: A person who is uninformed, or claims to have knowledge on a subject even when they know little or nothing. Lacking education or knowledge.

Stupid: A person who was once ignorant, but was given the correct information to no longer be ingornant on a topic, but is either slow to learn or understand; or they choose to ignore that knowledge, and still proceed as if they know.

I'm sure a lot of the "unwelcome" individuals who read this will deny it's revelation, but it's unfortunately impossible to refuse that an orange is by chance the color "orange". Wether you see it or not, does not allow you to impose this ignorance onto us.

The Lightning(The Orange)has proven it's advantages & disadvantages on the street against many vehicles including LS1's. You can't come here, and deny this, just because you "don't see, hear, think, feel" that it is. Just as an orange may appear orange to many people except someone who is color blind. The overall truth will suggest what is true, not what you think it should be or want it to be. Again don't impose your ignorance on us over "one" specific topic.

So what... you're beat, and nice run Shonut!
