Probably just bent some front suspension components.

I'd still want a frame shop to measure it and make sure it is within spec.

jesus

thank god your ok!!!

My girl had something similar happen a couple years ago. there's a median that seperates an underpass. Well the caution sign must have been run over and the pole was laying in the road. She didn't see it and ran it over and it blew the tires on the driver's side out. She lost controls, jumped the curb, went down into the underpass and bounced off one wall and smashed head on into the other and stopped directly across one lane. Thank god it was at 1 in the morning cause if it happened in the day, she would have been broadsided and killed.

Maybe there was something in the road and someone removed it.

I would say when you jumped the curb is what killed those rims.

The same thing happened to me driving my girls focus. Hit a HUGE pothole merging onto the highway and snapped a chunk right off the wheel!!!!

Sucks!!!! Good luck.

Looks like you had a right front blow-out.(especially if you went back and cannot find a pot hole. if you can find a pothole I would definately give the bill to the city for the repair) it would explain the sudden loss of control. you wouldn't necessarily hear an explosion if the tire blew out. I would take the front tire and have it inspected to see if it looked like the tire failed/blew out. the rim damage was definately caused by the curb at what speed were you at when you hit the curb? definately not at low speed to cause the rim damage.

Hey, Im sure glad you are OK!!!

It could very well be a blow out. I was doing 70-75mph on I-75 and the front right tire went. Tooling along one minute, on the rim the next. The tire was totally toast, the only pieces left were two rings on the rim, the tread dissapearred completetly. No warning, no noise, no nothing. With only cotton belts holding the tire together, when it goes, it goes.

It looks like it was a pothole because both rims look like they were smashed in from a hole.

that sux aass~~ you know what i think it was. you prob ran over a peice of truck tire... like the big rig ones. and that smacked up into your wheel well, cought your front tire, and made you lose control into the curb where you caused all the damage. i dunno... i seen that happen on I95 in GA one time... just an idea. if you need any help ($$) let me know.

Leane, the important think is that your OK, first. Your truck, as painfull and bad as it may seem, can allways be fixed.

Glad your okay LA, but that does suck asssssssssszzzzzzzzzzzz

I kinda think instead of a pothole, there was something in the road, piece of steel of some sort. Same thing happened to me on the Turnpike with my ElDorado, blew both left tires and completely shattered the rims.
But I saw the angle iron at the last minute, but had nowhere to go and stopping was out of the question at 75.

or

where you stalking someone and they shot out your tires

Glad to see that your ok. That is just weird. You had to hit something in the road. I would call the local police in that area and ask if anything was removed from the road. Someone might have called them to have what ever it was removed. Just a thought. It had to be something big to do that much damage to the tires and rims. Did you look on the side of the road to see if what ever it was shot to the side of the road. Oh if the police can't help call D.O.T. and ask them they might be able to help you. Otherwise all I can say is

I know what you did last summer. hee hee Good luck Love the color of the truck to.

hahahaha

I would definately give the bill to the city for the repair)
Good luck!!! Not in Mass. Staties told me in both of my cases that they are not responsible in you use the roads at your own risk!!! You believe that ****????

So I made a few phone calls to the state and got the same answer!!!!.

I say she either ran something over or had a blow out and the wheels were damaged from the impact on the curb. Remember, we have lower profile tires so there isn't as much cushion between the tire and the rim as would be on like a regular f150.

The most important thing is that you are ok. I hope you don't mind but I brightened up a couple of your photos so I could see the tire damage a little better. IMHO it looks like the front tire very possibly could have blown out. The largest hole is what looks supect to me. But that is just my opinion. Maybe some of the other folks will chime in with their opinions. Contrary to popular belief you cannot always hear a tire blow. I was hauling a$$ to the track when my rear passenger tire blew. Not a sound until the rear of the truck set down, the awful thud noises started and the rear became so loose that I almost couldn't control the truck. Of course that all happened in the blink of an eye just as I'm sure you experienced. Just glad to hear that you are ok and just remember it could always be worse. I hope you get your beast up and running again real soon.

as for the wheelbase beeing shorter on that side now it might be that the front control arm was pushed back on its own bushings. if thats the case i have my stock arms out of my truck ill sell to ya dirt cheap, unless of course you can get yours fixed.
i say this only cause it happened to my mustang when i slide in the ice and snow and poped the curb

That sucks. Like everyone said you walked away thats what counts.

The retread is a possiblity. I had it happen to me,but it just took out my front bumper. Nothing like your truck. Get her/him fixed and you will have smiles again.
