Correct! I was not at shop, but at home then. I have since then reprogrammed cluster and keys. I swapped the seats, light switch, the part of the dash that the auto light sensor is located in and the front bumper, grille assy ,third brake light, all the lights! The mirrors. I will be selling four brand new chrome 99,00 svt wheels and 95 o/o 315 nitto drag radials, but one wheel has a light flat spot and a pretty good nick on the inside were it was hit by the leaf spring. Keystone said 150 to 200 dollars to fix good as new. I have a solid back glass. I will get some pics and post.

2001 L swap

I have a 2001 f150 super crew with a 4.6 and I want to do a lightning swap but I don't know what else I will need to make it work. Will I have to do anything to the transmission, motor mounts, computer, etc.? Any feedback is appreciated!

Lightnings have dual fuel pumps (in the tank) powered by system that runs half power to them during normal running and full power during starting and when on boost. There is a ballast resistor (located on the intercooler pump bracket) that cuts the voltage down during normal operation. I don't know if a single high-volume pump will keep up.

turn on the 70's "dream weaver"

I have never seen anyone pull a 3v motor and replace it with an old 2v lightning motor. you are in uncharted territory.

most people simply buy a roush or whipple supercharger kit for the newer 5.4, 3v motor.

sell the truck and buy a used lightning or a used v8 f150. way ahead of the game and probably cheaper

Dave, he wants to replace a 4.2 V6 with a Lightning motor, not a 3v.

I see a lot of electronics issues, starting with replacing an electronic throttle with a mechanical one, plus 2 more cylinders and a different transmission.

I'm asking $550 for these. Everything is still bolted together and I haven't taken the heads off the block yet if you want both.
..... Do you still have short block for sale

please help me. I would love to get 425hp out of my 1999 f150 4x4 and keep the fuel injection if that is possible. Having a hard time finding information on injection upgrades and parts for a 1999.
