Arrow DFW Get Together March 10th and, or 11th

Hello Texas Chapter Lightning's, How about a DFW meeting next weekend. I was talking with a few people and they were interested in a get together either at the track or for a Mod Party. So I was thinking why not do both. That does not mean that you have to be at both events, that is up to you. If you have a the need for some racing head to the track with us. If you have a couple projects and would like some help come on over and we as a group will get it done. If you need both that would be great as well. Here is a litlle more info about the weekend.

We will get together on Friday at the The Denton 1/8 mile drag track. We can meet up there around 7:00pm and stay tell they close. For ya'll that have not been there, we had one heck of a time the last time. I will post more info on directions and such later.

As for Saturday we were thinking of a Fix Up The Truck meet. That way you can get those new mods on before the San Antonio Rally. We can all meet at my house which is about 10 houses away from my father's (BlackHawk) house. We have about every tool that would be needed for any project. We could use my house for the smaller project and BlackHawk AKA Chris's house for the larger projects. I know that Mudder and Pony will be there since Pony has a couple projects that she wants done. As for everyone else It should be a fun time even if you don't have anything you want to do.

Well lets here from ya'll and any projects that you are wanting to get done.

Cool

No helmet requirement unless you run nitrous.
Bring you're redneck repellent.

Baby Jake, No problem, if I go down there I be thinking of how much you like it. If I don't eat the Shrimp first I send you some. LOL

Sixpipes are you going to be able to make it??

As Sixpipes said Silver_2000_Soon you wont need a helmet, but that repellent might come in handy.

Mumbly -

I'm planning on being there. I think March 10th is also rice-boy Friday. We probably won't have the place to ourselves like we did last time. Just bought a 98 SVT Contour. I might want to make a few runs in it just for kicks.

Your right Sixpipes. It will be the second weekend of the month and those guys do go there then. I guess we will just have to take over anyway.

OK gang,

I'm in. Didn't know if we could make it or not, but got it worked out. I just made reservations at the same Hampton Inn in Lewisville that we used the last time. We'll be there late Friday afternoon. If anyone needs to get aholt of me, try the cell # at 713 416 4308.

I'm in, but that's assuming I have my L. by then. Talked to the dealer yesterday, and my delivery date has been backed up from Monday 3-6 to Thurday 3-9. If it's here, I'll be there.

Hey All (or y'all, as the case may be):

I've been enjoying your posts for months, and just got my 00 L -- my first new car ever -- this week. I tell ya, this truck brings tears to my eyes...it may be a 30k truck, but I feel like a million bucks driving it... Anyhow, to get more to the point, I might be interested in heading up next weekend to say hello and get inspiration for when my budget comes back (if ever). Wyldman, is that place you stayed at pretty reasonable? And, for the question I shouldn't have asked, are there safe places to park at the strip if I just want to kick back and get a first-class education in roasting F1's?

Hey guys,

You may want to make a stop by the Texas Motorplex in Ennis on your way up (for those of you coming from Austin/Houston). They're racing Friday night the 10th. Test N Tune sessions.

1/4 mile track.

I'm tentatively planning to go and race one of my Mustangs.

Wes Tarbox. What is the times and such for that. We may just go to a Real track if it's worth it. How many passes for how much. What rules and such. If they are about the same as the Denton then Ennis here we come. I will go for a look on the web and see if I can answer my own questions, but if anyone knows or finds out before me let the rest of us know.

Dang found something real fast. Here is the url for the Texas Motorplex http://www.texasmotorplex.com/ I was looking at the schedule and it looks like we could go there for the Steet Night events.

Gates open 6:00 each Friday
Time Trials 7:00 to midnight

Racer Entry $20
Student racer $17 w/student ID

Spectator/Crew
Adult $10
Student w/ ID $7

Has anyone every been to one of these. How many times is it possible to make it down the track? I know that at the Denton Track you can run as many times as you want. All you do is go get in line and Run. Is Ennis's Track real busy so that you only get a couple runs in the night? I know that when we went to the Denton Track we got to pretty much race each other if we wanted. Is this the case in Ennis? If they are compariable I think it would be cool to go to the Texas Motorplex.

[b]What do you all think??????[\b]
