DFW Get Together March 10th and, or 11th
Mumbly,
The track at Ennis is a world class facility, easily the equal of Houston Raceway Park. I don't know how crowded it gets on thier street nights, but HRP is usually not as bad as test n tune nights. I, for one, would welcome the chance to run there again.
The Denton track is ok, but the difference between the two is night and day. Mainly TM hooks much better and our times would be more like what they should be,
Either case is fine, but my vote goes to Ennis.
ESD,
The Hampton is $62.00/night, very clean and well kept property. I consider it reasonable. If it is decided that we will go to Ennis instead, I will cancel that reservation and get one in Ennis, which also has a nice, reasonably priced motel.
Would you be interested in hooking up and driving up together? Shoot me an email offline and we can discuss it.

Silver_2000_Soon,
If we go to Ennis, you will need a helmet, Snell rating 85 or better. No passengers are allowed on the track at any time. Tech inspection will be no problem if the truck is not altered. You can probably expect to run at least low 14's, and maybe high 13's. The need for a helmet arises at 13.99, so I would suggest getting one.

Good info Wyldman. I have my motorcycle helmet and can bring it for those that do not have one.
Silver_2000_Soon, You right you will not need a hotel. It is south of Dallas and does not take long to get there.
I will try to give the track a call tomorrow to find out how busy and such it will be. That way we will have an idea of how many runs we will be able to take.

Since I have posted this topic on three different areas I'm getting info on one and posting on the other. There was a post on in Events that states that the person has been to the Steet Night at Ennis and that he was only able to do 3 runs. Not sure if this is bad since this is on heck of a nice track. Well what do ya'll think about not getting to do as many runs.

Hey guys,
Sorry...been out all day.
Maybe I can help. This will be the first Street Night of the year. It WILL be VERY crowded. Expect 3-4 runs. Also, don't expect it to hook like it does when they prep the track for Fun Ford Weekend. Street tired vehicles pull up the VHT and by 8:30-9pm its basically gone. :-(
Unfortunately, I will not be going Friday as it turns out.
Bottom line is if you want a decent amount of runs, go to Denton. The Motorplex is by far a superior facility as Chuck mentioned...its just pretty crowded. If you wait a few weeks, then it won't be so bad.
Good luck guys! I'll catch up with ya'll sometime.

Thanks for the reply Wes Tarbox. I'm thinking if we want to race each other then Denton may be the place to go. Let me hear from you either email if you don't want people to know and I will make a decision on Wed. That way if anyone has to make Hotel arrangment it is possible. I hope that is ok.
I was going to let ya'll know a little from what was emailed to me, but now I'm thinking that it really doesn't matter where we go as long as we are all there together. And now with lightning2strikes from Missouri saying he would come down if we go to Denton. I think this may have made up my mind. I know that alot of the 4x4 guys will most likely not run there trucks in Ennis and It is great to watch them run so I think we will stay with the original plan and go to Denton. We here in the DFW area can go to the Ennis track in a couple weeks for the next Street Night that might not be as busy. Maybe I can have time to set up a group deal up for that. I hope that this sounds good.
I am game, Denton is closer, but would love to run at Ennis someday.
Looking forward to Friday
Doug
