Installed a set of Pacesetter headers on the L Tuesday. Install was straight-forward, with no engine jacking, shock bolt cutting or any of that. Plus the cost was a surprise, coated 245.95, black 148.95, coated ones have a lifetime warr, painted have a 3 yr warr. Ordered them from J.C. Whitney. Sure beats 4-500 $!!!

 

I saw those advertised also, sounds like a great price but never saw them first hand to compare quality. What size primary tubing do they have?

Hey all!! The headers have 1 1/2 primarys and a 3/8 flange, sorry no pics, wish it were easier to post them to the board. Install time was about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs, did them at work on a lift also. Since this is my first set, I'd know what not to do the next time. The coated one's are on backorder till late march, so i opted for the painted one's, I'll pull them off this winter and get them Jet Hot coated and still have less in them than the Jba's or Bassaini's.

 

Wes.... I ordered the Bassani X-pipe with the part num from their web page, what i got was 2 high flow cat pipes, with no x-over pipe all for 529.00. To get the x-pipe you have to get the cat-back kit and that will set you back around 6-650.00$. So i got the pacesetter headers, used my factory cat pipe's and install 2 2 chamber flows, and had a buddy at car-x bend me new tailpipes for the new tips i bought from my parts dept. Total invested will be under 500$ for all.

 

Hey Rumba, what part number did you order? The X section does come with the cat pipes, not the cat back. The Bassani cat pipes and X section replace the stock cat pipes. If it came with the cat back, it wouldn't bolt to the stock cat pipes. You might want to recheck the number you used, or recieved. There was an error somewhere in that transaction

Hey Sal. The Xpipe crossover for Bills came in box with muffler parts. Not in box with cats. Rumba83's was posibly boxed same way.
