Cool What's up with the rubber necking?

Ok, only had the L two days and I've been treated to a new experience. I keep getting drivers/passengers rubber neck as they see me. WOW! This is really strange to me as I've always had nice cars; Z-28's, nice lifted trucks, Corvette, but I have never had people turn to look as I go by. I had no idea the Lightning attracts so much attention! This has to be my most favorite vehicle I've ever owned.

Peter B,
I know what ya mean. While cruising back from AL, it seemed like folks would do a double-take after they see the Lightning badge. Kinda cool... I also got a thumbs-up from a woman driving a Nascar F150.

My favorite is the boyfriend driving his proud sports car, with the girlfriend's face glued to the window. He then starts getting insecure and you rub it in by doing a burnout while the girlfriend is drooling.

Talking

I own/owned many interesting vehicles in my time ...but this truck has caused more red light conversations (people on many occations have made me open the window) than anything else I have owned. It shocked me.

I hear you.

I must have driven through the same Wendy's drive through a hundred times in other vehicles, and not once did they ever talk to me other than just 'have a nice day'.

I have had two people ask me about my Lightning in that same drive through. 'Is that a Lightning?' 'Is it fast?' 'Nice truck' 'Ever raced a z28?'.

Of course there are always the people in the parking lots that just stare, especially if they are on the exhaust side of the truck.

Thumbs up

I believe one of my first posts after I picked up my new L was the near accidents in the opposite lane due to 'rubber-necking'. It still amazes me how much attention this 'truck',(MONSTER), gets. I LOVE IT!!!

P.S. I hope the 'break-in' is over soon.

Later, Jake...

Isnt it great...

You know you've got something nice when the people at the drive through are more interested in your truck than getting you order right!

now where did those extra hashbrowns go?
