Thumbs up

Good stuff Jim!

By the way... The short block you sold me is performing beautifully. I made 567.1 RWHP and 580.8 RWTQ on pump gas with 14 PSI and 15* of timing. The heads and cams have a lot to do with that, but I know without a doubt that your block can handle it. Keep up the good work.

You mean , you are running 14psi of boost without having to retard the ignition timing ??? How much maximum boost you think you could be able to run without having to retard timing ??? Thanks.

What do you mean by "retard the timing"? The max boost for the whole pull was 14.1 PSI and it was actually lower at some RPM's do to a little belt slip. The first pull was at 11* of timing and got 481/530 running lean as hell because that was the initial pull before the tuning started. On the last pull my tuner had fattened up the A/F and adjusted the timing to 15* which produced the numbers I stated above. That was also with the stock plenum, stock throttle body, and the PI converter not being locked.

Aluminum 5.4 Block
Windage tray (and girdle)
ARP main studs (custom made to fit girdle)
High Volume oil pump
custom made pick up tube
Piston Oil squirtters (which can cool the piston up to 300 degrees!!!)
Custom Oil Pan using the GT oil pan gasket
Forged Steel Crank
Connecting Rods to support 1200 HP
Pistons are offered in 9.5:1 and 10:1 comp ratios
All blue printed and balanced

We have several blocks out there in the 9.5:1 compression ratio and 1 in testing with the 10:1. With the oil squirtters cooling down the piston and with their unique design of only squirtting the piston when its at bottom dead center. It keeps windage down so much that their is very little if any HP loss. With the windage tray it pulls the oil immediatley off the crank. These are serious motors for serious people. They also come with a serious price tag.

The shortblock is $6495.00
Jim,

Is the 6495 price tag still good?
