Is this platform plausible for a daily driver, or a truck that isn't a drag strip queen? Assuming it's based off the GT i would think so but how well will this hold up after 100,000 miles of normal "Lightning" driving?

Nice one Jim it's been a long time in planning since I blew the block all over the road but it was well worth the wait.
Made a lot of new friends along the way too.

Will call you Thursday or Friday - got e-mail from Julie today.
Have been working nights - Your days so it's been a bit busy.

You know what people keep crapping and blocking those out of town sewer lines so business is good - keep dumping and well keep pumping

This may have saved my Christmas - was not looking forward to a long spell indoors with a paintbrush.

BTW got all my powder coating back and it's looking good.
Damm cold for doing the electrics though my fingers are freezin

We have been soooooo busy here too Ricki, I personally put your engine and BTS on the Freight truck yesterday! Glad that I could help take that paint brush out of your hand! Send me some pictures of the powdercoated pieces! Cant wait to see them. Send me an email if you get a chance I want to talk with you about the fuel component upgrades! Stay warm!

Cheers!

Gator. I have suggested to Rob he buys a locking Gas Cap so you can't use his tank as a toilet

Have a good Christmas

what is the 4v motor good to (hp)? Are you going to be offering a long block, all aluminum 4v motor? Whats the cost figure?

Also, how nitrous friendly are these blocks/heads?

What is the wait time to get a GT short block? What is the cost of the oil cooler adapter and driver side motor mount. Santa might just have to come around for round two.

Well I have seen this question asked twice so here is what you really need

Aluminum Shortblock (GT machined for Lightning specs)
Oil Pan
GT oil pan gasket
Windage tray
ARP mains (custom)
pick up tube
Driver side motor mount
Oil cooler adapter

I dont know the break down of these prices but I bet its going to be cheapest to get a completley assembled shortblock. Ill try to get the pricing info today
