Let me tell you how mine went, "I DID ALL MY WRENCHING" I make all my decisions, and I installed each and every mod on my truck the first 3 years.
And I had 3 years of FLAWLESS and awesome results. There wasn't a wrong decision I made, there wasnt a mod that didnt show results. And for the record the same set of plugs for 2002, 2003, and 2004
WB I was not listing my accomplishments above, I never had any plan or said I was building a top et truck, I never said I was better than anyone, and I surly dont look at this as a contest of who's **** is bigger (but for the record mine is). I simply wanted to be able to drive 500 miles in a day to make a simple pass and know I was driving it home, unfortunately since the day my motor was rebuilt the opposite occurred and it left me broke and stranded every time I went WOT, things were never the same once """I""" stopped wrenching it, turned out to be the worse decision I ever made in my life....
The only diff between the two of us is you gave up and decided to sell....
Oh and I actually had many accomplishments just dont care to share them with you. So whats next ???? may I suggest a Rice Rocket

I installed all my mods. I tore down the front end of my motor when the timing chain tensioners went bad, blah blah blah. I guarantee I know my way around a lightning as well as or better than you.
My truck made 470 RWHP I NEVER ONCE ran it on slick. At 5100 lbs with my full stereo and all that crap in it, the truck went 12.31. Had I been able to get back to the track before I sold it, I think it had a 12.0 in it. Look at that Rob, I'm within 2 tenths of you and I didn't have spray OR tire. I never listed my times because I don't measure my **** by how fast I go. Keep thinking you know me. I came to this board well before I ever got my truck, yup I had some rookie questions along the lines, but I always found my problems. In the end with my truck I just wasn't happy anymore. I had remedied the problem, or at least found it and accepted it. I planned on doing H/C this winter, but for the price to do that I could bolt on to my new ride and go faster.
Maybe you could do something useful, like plant some herbs in the back of that flowerpot truck of yours, since it doesn't seem better for much else since you won't pulley down or accept that you need to change. Keep smoking away your kids' college fund.
How's debt anyways, is it a nice place to live?
No rice rocket for me. But I'll tell you the same thing I told the other guys, come out on the street and we'll line you up with a honda. Hell, I got one to race you at the strip if you'd like.
As for me, I bought a C6, being built the 28th of this month, yup, went to the darkside.

I can't believe anyone would blast Rob over what has happened to him. It was a goal many people have to run low 11 high 10 sec. times with the minimum expense. If it can be done, we have yet to see it, but he gave it his best shot. Hearing his trials and tribulations may save others this headache in the future.
If you have a plan to run very fast, take the time to do it right with all the margin of safety you can build in. It will be worth the $$$.
