The lightning not being available in supercab version does preclude some people from buying them just because they can't afford both the lightning and another vehicle to haul the family around with. So, they have to just settle for the family vehicle.

However, as far as pure performance, the regular cab platform is the best for full size pickup performance trucks. I am not sure I would get a supercab lightning even if one were avaialable, because it would certainly not be the truck it is today.

So, in making a supercab lightning you are just merely marketing to a different group of people, not necessarily more people.

SVT had in mind exactly who they wanted to market these vehicles to.
