it is just that i would be pissed if they told me they need to pullt he heads and slap me with all sorts of labor charges because they void the warranty, and the problem be something minor like a burnt plug(s)

Try this

Pull the plugs, you may have a damaged one.

Check your DTC's with the hand held tuner.

Check fuel pressure - high low relays.
Low pressure will do damage at high load.

Water ingress in the electrics or down the plug tubes.

Supprised the dealer swapped the ECU without doing a full system check over

Best of luck.

well i did manage to sneek in and reinstall the factory tune before they removed the first ECU. i went down there to look at it. they guy said he stuck a scope in there and saw a hole in the top of the piston, side wall scratched, and the rings were hanging off. so the motor is done. yes, they're bringing a ford guy to look at it after they have it all taken apart. i guess hes gonna snap a BUNCH of pics. its odd though cause he said it was running rich. and there was heavy build-up on my exaust. but doesnt a hole in the piston mean its lean? plus the pulley and RWTD tune should have leaned it out. what went wrong? what should i do if they void me? does anyone have a motor for me?

hahah nice odin. but now that i think about it. maybe i was getting 10-11 mpg cause it was running rich. well if i woulda took the pulley off before i took it in it wouldnt be an issue. but i didnt think it could be this bad of a problem. i was guessin it was a coilpack or a bad plug. not a new motor is there ANY chance that they wont void me?

yeah, i know if you play, you pay. ive spent 1800 on tires in the past 6 months. i just find it odd that ive took the truck out several times and beat it like a redheaded step-child for 10 -15 minutes at a time. but i had it warmed up, took it up to 135mph, let it roll back down to 80, started braking and when the dust settled the motor was missing like a bastard.

If it's a 00L they had bad coil-pacs in some mine, were replaced for this reason along with upgraded intercooler recall. goodluck!

no, they have the motor pulled. the passenger side head was off. the rear piston had a nice chip out of it, and a good gouge in the wall. like i said he saw the JLP crank pulley and told the ford guy about it over the phone. its a 200 mile round trip for the ford guy if he wants to drive down to look at the motor. they said they're pretty sure hes gonna come down, but he might not. they havent told me that the warranty is void yet. but we all know it is so if anyone has a motor for sale pm me.
