Driver hurt, faces charges after high-speed chase
DEERFIELD TWP. - A high-speed police chase on Montgomery Road Monday morning ended when a pickup truck crashed in the parking lot of a Deerfield Township automotive center.
Charges are pending against the driver, Jason Brashear, 35, of Maineville, who was in serious condition Monday at Bethesda North Hospital.
Police said that about 9:56 a.m., a Hamilton County sheriff's deputy observed a 2002 Ford Lightning pickup truck, driven by Brashear, traveling north on Interstate 71 at speeds in excess of 100 miles an hour.
The deputy attempted to pull the pickup over after it exited at Fields Ertel Road and ran a red light at the end of the exit ramp.
The pickup then sped northeast on Montgomery Road, running red lights and weaving in and out of heavy traffic at speeds approaching 100 miles an hour before rear-ending a Pontiac Vibe, sending the pickup truck careening off of the left side of the road, police said.
The truck crashed into a light pole and into two unoccupied automotive delivery trucks in the parking lot of Smyth Automotive, at Montgomery Road and Winding Lane.
No one in the Vibe was seriously injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. A red-light violation and charge of felony fleeing and eluding are pending against Brashear.

Well, looking at it another way....
On a serious note, I'm glad no one was injured. I agree - I don't care what happened to Brashear because he obviously a no talent *** clown.
This also makes me sad, because by the time I get around to buying an L, (which I would do right now if I had the money), they'll probably be $75K a piece due to idiots like this that aren't careful with their investment.

You do know that it was this very type of thing that made automotive suppliers *not* want to continue to build the TY-SY of the early 90s.
My boss was at the seat supplier at the time. The family of a stupid young man sued because the seat came loose from the floorboard upon a crash. Well.. he was running from the cops and hit a pole at 125mph! DUH!
