Bad that it happened, IMO proves yet again that cops need to think about chasing - sometimes cause more problems than it's worth.

Many police departments around the country are actually revising their pursuit polices.... sometimes getting someone on a minor charge is not worth endangering the police officer and innocent bystanders. high speed pursuit aggravates the danger for a longer period of time and usually ends painfully.

maybe if idiots would pull over cops wouldn't have to chase. people need to be held accountable for their actions regardless. running from the cops gets you in worse trouble than you would have been in in the first place, for the most part.

To bad cops couldn’t have laser guided missiles and electronics to allow them to tap into the suspect’s car radio. If the radio wasn’t on this system would turn it on so the cops could speak to the suspect being chased.

It could go something like this:

Cops – Hey moron, are you flucking blind, see us behind you?

Suspect (thinking to themselves) – WTF is that?

Cops – I bet you’re wondering who the fluck this is aren’t you LMAO?
Cops – Anyhow, you have 5 seconds to pull over or you will be terminated.

After 5 seconds arm missile and fire missile chase is over and the city is safe again. As an added bonus there is no moron left, since he is in ashes, to sue the cops, it’s a win-win situation…

I could never understand why morons run from cops. Either pull over and take responsibility or pull over and shoot yourself in the head either way I don’t give a chit. When people being chased by cops hurt others or damage things it is THEIR fault and not the cops.

Maybe the best solution is to completely get rid of cops and we can all start packing. That way we could settle things the “right” way…

i know is was dumb but hey look at what we drive you cant tell me you havent been tempted to out run a cop. doin it when other people around is really stupid though. id have to say if i was on a back road at 2am crusing home from work enjoying a fatty and a car passed me then turned right around i have to say id prolly hit the gas. but hey if the guy is behind you then turns his lights on. its pointless to run unless your heading to mexico. he already has your plate number. just my 2 cents

This mentality is why pursuits are an epidemic... If we pursued them and put them in jail for long periods of time, people wouldn't run so much...

i agree with you there. A boy i went to school with and was good friends with ran from the cops thurs morning and lost control and hit a tree. he was killed on impact. Not saying it was wrong of the cops to chase him but we all have to think what the outcome would be now but we will never know.
