Has anyone purchased a SCT Excal2 Programmer from LFP?

I was wondering if anybody has used his custom tuning and how was it?

I have a dyno/tunning session scheduled for November with JDM, but wanted to track the truck for JDM day in October. My mods will be 6lbs lower, FTVB, JLP ram air, 170 t-stat, Aux idler kit, Denso IT22, Silver bullet cat back and Traction bars.

I use the SCT Xcal 2 tuned by LFP. When I first downloaded the summer tune it was a little fat on the fuel. I e-mailed them and was on the phone having the revamped tune e-mailed to me by the end of the day.

 

LFP custom SCT tunes!?!?!?! That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. Mark is nothing more than a charlatan, and has duped hundreds of customers into believing he is a 'reputable' shop owner. HE IS NOT. I live in Houston and have bought items from him in the past, there is no argument that he offers cheap deals. But at what cost? Cheating GOOD vendors who design, fabricate, and test REAL products. Cutting into their profits and creating barriers for introducing NEW products. To the enthusiast, that means your praise deserving shop will keep their skunkwerk products under wraps in order to reap the benefit of their hard work. In other words, he is cheating you too, and you encourage it, to save a few bucks.

Mark, if you're offering custom tunes, where's the dyno? I know the 'warehouse' is your garage, and your desk is the kitchen table, I guess the dyno is in your bedroom? And your 'shop' is the bathroom? What's the purpose of the borderline spark table?

What a joke. SCT stands to lose credibilty by allowing him to perpetrate his creation as a custom tune.

I have known him since 2000, and will never buy from him again. For the good of all performance enthusiasts, I encourage you ALL to do the same.

EDIT: On further thought, I'm sure my post will be met with much resistance for several reasons- I'm bashing a vendor, this is not the appropriate venue, I have a low post count, etc. Flame away for those reasons, I could not care less. I have conviction in my beliefs, and will stand behind them through it all. If you have any additional comments/ questions, feel free to PM me.

 

Dude get a life quit bashing the vendor.. you could end up like RustyRocket, playing the rusty trumbone.. everything that a company such as SCT, or Diablo comes with a standard tune to get you moving.. im sure LFP has a direct connection to SCT so he can talk to tech and have a tune created and or modified at his request.. even though ive never purchased from LFP, i dont think it is right to bash him because you have a personal gripe with the guy.. move on stop the bashing..

 

So, he offers killer prices on products and sells canned tunes. So what? Does that really make him a charlatan, a joke, and a scammer? What's with the conspiracy story? I know Mark, and he's a good guy. If you want a custom tune, go to someone else. Sounds like a deeply personal gripe to me.

Why would someone NOT get their parts at the cheapest prices? Oh yeah, because the other vendors' "skunkworks" will be off the table. Whatever.

Sounds like sour grapes, what's your real reasoning for such a bitter post?

 

I also take offense to the term "Canned Tunes" since I do all the tuning for Mark on the Ford Mustangs, Lightnings, Harley's and Focus. None are SCT canned downloads, all are custom setups for clients vehicle and if I can get my hands on the vehicle they are dyno tuned, or if the client can get me a dyno run after receiving, downloading tunes, I will tweek the tunes from that info.

Flash, is this the best use of your time? The guys @ LFP have the lowest prices and best customer support. I've bought stuff from all the major vendors and have no problems with any of them. However, LFP is always the first vendor i goto because they have what i want.

 

LFP is an SCT Custom Tuner, Andre is part of the LFP Team. Same as Crystal, Jesse, and Mike are part of the LFP Team.

 

Flash is just that a flash.. he comes on here makes a big stink about someones tunes and products and dissapears.. *******!!! get a life flash go cry to a **** site or something leave your gripes and your attitude for someone who actually cares..

 

I have just recently become a customer of LFP and have no complaints on anything I have purchased nor there customer service. They have come through with the best price, delivery, and follow up. I am not one to give acclaimades away but when I see someone get bashed that has treated me right I have to speak up.

Bought my Bassani cat back exhaust from him. Best price and had it in 2 - 3 days, can't remember but it was fast. Talked to him on the phone and he was professional and polite.

Got my electric fan/2K cobra R water pump from Mark @ FFW in Houston. He was great when I bought them, had a great price and when I had a relay problem down the road he promptly replied. I wasn't expecting him to care ( I didnt know Mark and I got it at FFW, he could have blown me off) Thanks Mark!
