True Dual Exhaust Exiting Both Sides
I sent an e-mail to Sal regarding some questions I had on a number of topics.
1: Can a true dual exhaust, which exits the driver side, and passenger side be fabricated?
2: Could an installation be modified to correctly fit underneath the vehicle, and split to both sides?
3: Can the skirt between the rear driver side tire, and the driver side door be removed and molded/modified to look like the passenger side skirt?
4: Would torque loss @ low RPM's be drastic?
I am very interested in this idea. Does anyone have any ideas regarding how to accomplish something like this?
I'm interested in hearing everyone's thoughts on this. Hopefully someone will come up with a way to sucessfully accomplish this feat.
Thanks,
Metallic Blue

Only problem I can see with this configuration, is that the gashole is directly above a hot exhaust pipe...!
But it WOULD look good.

I initially thought side exit duals would be cool, but I think there is an unnecessary safety risk. The fuel filler cap is located directly above the left side exhaust exit postion. Can you imagine an autoignition at the local Exxon?

How about closing the hole on the side exit and having duel rear exit pipes with turned down tips.

I have already thought about that particular issue fellas. I have also come up with an idea to prevent problems with the hot exhaust pipes.
1: Two custom inserts can be made and painted black which would fit the exhaust tips. They could be made for car/truck shows. This is only an idea of course.
2: The tips can be made of aluminum. This will work if its possible to find a set to match. Aluminum as everyone knows rids it self of heat must faster then stainless steel. It would be cool by the time you shut the engine off and pay for the gas.
Tell me what you guys think. I personally think that the second option is easier to accomplish and realistic.

What is wrong stock exit ?
IMO rear exit would be ugly on this truck.
Remember, the less pipe the less restriction.
