I just dont know Jeff, SORRY
but YEP thats the one that scares the schitt out of me too )(*@$%@$
I may not be the fast one of the bunch, but I do run A LOT of boost
so this is of concern to me too.

20, I may only have the Mag, but do run that Combo, a 8lb Lower and 2.7 Upper. Boost and pulley is boost and pulley, even in the 80 degree heat I'm seeing 18lbs INSTANT on staping and I quickly climb to 20, in cooler weather I usually see @22-23 lbs.

hey rob, do you have ported heads? my boost is dropped 2.5psi from whatever it would be pushing with stock heads

I have a PSP Built Motor, but used the stock upper stuff; (stock Heads, Cams and Springs). Also have PSP Long Tubes, HF Cats, Cat Back, CL Upper, CAI,
60's and Pumps. And my Accu Fab. As said at any giving mili second, all I need do is stab the pedal and I have 18lbs immediately (and quite easily) When we dyno'd it the first time, Sal had me stay in the Cab and stare at the gauge to see what we had (BTW, I have a very good Ford Racing 30lb Gauge)
When he went WOT there was an instant 18lbs and it climbed quickly to 21-22. In extreme hot weather I somtimes max out @19-20.
(Tonight it was high 70's and I was seeing 20lbs on WOT)

Depending on your heads/cams and exhaust you will be around 20/21 I would think....

No clamp dude; just a hose pushed on from the factory. Probably a few of them riding around with that hose blowed off too! I plugged mine when I did the new motor combo.

Casey this is the hose that popped off down at the bottom of the intake. If you notice it is male on both ends...The top of the hose goes into the rubber tee up by the blower and the lower section went into a rubber female piece..This is the piece you say is only pushed onto the intake?

I just came from Sals shop and he happens to have a Lightnig Motor in an old Cobra II. The motor sits high and way more foward than in our truck, tons of room to see and actually even look directly at the hose and connection.
DEF NO CLAMP, and Sal said you shouldn't neeed one either, if you look at the ftg it's attached to, IT IS NOT the full opening, it has a precise drilled orfice, hard to belive it can blow off ??? One has to wonder if this is happening as a result of our system going into REVERSE FLOW, which it sometimes does ????

As Rob said; it has a very small hole drilled in it. So; very little boost would escape, but still gonna lose some. Also, gonna screw up your PCV system in the same time if it's all stock.

And yeah; no clamp of any kind. Mine was a little lose when I removed it all.

Ok thanks... Little hole or big hole it still sees whatever boost your running right? To me anything on the boost side of the blower needs clamped...But heck that's just me and I'm weird... lol

Also Rob if you think of it next time your at Sals can you take a good picture of the bottom of the intake where that hose attaches? Would be much appreciated...

God I love that ***, WOO HOO

No prob Bro, consider it done

I dont doubt you or anyone one bit Jeff, hope you didnt think that.
They are obviously numerous people that have had them come off.
This is one of those "well it works fine with the factory boost" deals
Kind of like how our fuel system works barely ok with the factory HP.

I'll ask Sal about it more, but my guess is when you have a lot more power than stock, (hence a lot more Boost too) and the PCV System goes into reverse flow, which we all know it does, and that hose is not as tight as it can be, WAM the possibility of it coming off can become a reality.

I guess the same reason Ford uses a stock 6 cyl F-150 Fuel Filter on a L,
is the same reason the cheap bastards couldn't clamp it.

I have to see Sal in the next day or so, I'll shoot a pic or two and post them

Also when that hose is off and your not on boost then you are pulling in un-metered air....not sure if it was mentioned. It will screw up your tune up and idle. Mine was plugged a LONG time ago but I do know somebody that had the hose come off.
