What year was the Lightning? 04 would fair better than a 99, if that was the year they tested it. Plus the winter would help as well.

yeah

and lightnings don't have a speed limiter. also i think the lightning was tested int he summer, and we all know how much heat kills our power, and the srt-10 was tested in the winter.
I often wondered what the difference would be. The Lightning was tested in June I believe. Let's see an april or an october test.

I know alot of us know that the truck will go past 147 mph..........from experience.

Im sure if SVT thought they could beat the SRTs time by doing it in the winter they either would have or will.

Why does anyone really care that the L and SRT-10 can do 140Mph Plus? There is no where you can actually drive it that fast (in the USA...........gotcha Andre') and just think of the carnage if you had a mechanical failure at that speed. 100Mph is fast enough for me, and that is crazy.

100 is only 2/3 the speedo. Silly SVT! I want mine to go to 160. That way when I hit the tree at 157 I know it! Does the SRT speedo go above 140? I can tell you I feel a huge difference in the outside temps being 110 or 75. It was 75 right after we got the pulley and stuff done. Man that was nice, a real kick in the ***. It was 100 the next day and every day after that, boooo I want my boost back! It's 85 on my way to work at 7am, it's 105 on the way home at 5;30 I can't frigging win. Except for 2:30 am high speed passes. I want it to cool off, My milage and power are missing right now.

I never put times of any of my cars in my sig. But if you all must know the srt went 13.6x @107.xx this was in the middle of summer. 2.2 60' was the best I could muster, hard as hell to launch.

Sorry guys, I have yet to run mine. In the Five years I owned my '99 L, I only got it to the track 3 times.

Last time I was at the track was with my Syclone last October'ish (?). It now resides in Texas - Sold it this past July.

That MPH shows the 500 HP.

I think that the SRT would have done better ET wise with a slushomatic like we have.

WRONG!
I hit nearly 140 at the California Speedway on every lap.
