How wide a tire on stock rims? YES TIM I SEARCHED lol!

Well I'm screwed, literally. One screw in each rear tire Traction is killing me out of the hole so any help is needed. Here's what I need to know. How wide cand I go on the stock rim? 305? 315? wider? I'm considering buying a bigger set of rims if I have to (10 inch might get me to 315/335?). I figure I have to buy tires, so I want to do it right, and not be disappointed if I buy some 295 Nitto's and they still don't bite for *@!!.

And before Tim comes hopping in this thread.. I searched..

You searched? You searched?

Ha! I scoff at such juvenile attempts. I found multiple instances of the answer to your sophomoric query with but a click of the mouse.

Your answer here

[title-only search using keyword "widest"]

Damn I tried "widest tire" and "wide tire(s)". I figured Wide would throw up wide-band, etc. results.

I have failed you master....

Your site isn't very helpful in identifying you. I went through most of them and even looked at files names. You're quite elusive. Either that or I suck at manually seraching webpages too

I screwed those in your tires so you would finally go out and get some DR's.

Join the dark side, you tire spinning fool.

Bwahaha I can't win. I looked in your racing photo gallery but after seeing some horribly filtered Photoshop pics I left that section and went back to recent pics.
YOU'VE WON THIS ROUND SKELTON BUT I'LL BE BACK!!

P.S. Hey Jason, 305's are too small for me. After trailing a new Viper 2 days ago, I need some MEAT in the rear (Tim don't take that as an offer)

Well since no one has answered the question Ill take the pleasure. As far as I know, the best (widest, but not oto *short*) street leagal tires you can get (and most popular) are the Nitto 555r (305/45/18) I got two of those on my stock rims right now.

But Im with Tim, this has been covered so many times your search skills must be very lacking.

Picture corrected for future noobs and historical accuracy.
There's a set of 20x10 Boyds in FS that would take some 315's I'm sure.... hmm I'd be eating tuna and peanut butter for 2 weeks, but I could also go get a mother's powerball finally..decisions...

good luck trying to get a good tire for 20 inch rims...I got Toyo proxies and I have no traction.Thats why I am selling my 20,s and going back to 18 so I can get Nitto DRs ...I like the way 20's look but I need traction now with the KB on....
