Fast Fredy had problems saturday and was not even racing today (he came back sunday because it was close to home and when you race you automatically buy a 2 day pass) and Al went out in the first round.

They both could have been out of the track by 2:30 and been home 3 p.m. with there families eating dinner in a air-coditioned house.

Instead they hung around 3 1/2 hours in the heat to support me as I was lucky enough to go rounds and make the finals.

Lets get this straight. I WOULD NOT HAVE GONE ROUNDS AND MADE THE FINALS W/O THEM.

There support and help (Generators , fans , etc..) was a big help in me keeping my truck were it needed to be (cooled down) for the next rounds.

It was a long day and we were parked far, far away and if they left it would have been a long boring afternoon.

I hope to return the favor some day.

Thumbs up way to go !!

Vinnie !! I know I don't visit this site much. The last time was in May of this year. After reading your list of accomplishments , I clearly see that you can drive your truck and drive it well. You have one beautiful Gen II and one that pushes out the HP. You know me < I am the big guy in the RED 95 Lightning that also tries to achive good RT's /// 60''s and good ET's for a Gen I. I have to give you credit for fightning through the blast furnace and making it to the finals It is so true as for what you say , just the supportive words and added encouragement makes the world of difference. I can only speak for Fred , he will be there for ya, that is if he isn't racing againts ya!!! {Team Sneek President} I kinda know the feeling of making it to the finals as I did in the JDM 2003 lightning truck class. SO congratulations on over coming one tough adventure I will be seeing you guys up at E-Town this fall

Thanks for the kind words.

I do try to go to a race with the mindset of trying to do good. Its not easy when everybody is expecting 10s on every pass and as much as I would like to ablidge(sp?) it is just not what you do when someone wants to win. It may work once but it costs a lot of money and time to go to events around the country and if your gonna bracket race against guys that run .010 lights and a 9.42 on a 9.39 dial-in leaving .13 of a second variable then you better be on your game.(BTW- Mark ran a .001 light and a 9.39 on a 9.39 ALMOST A PERFECT RUN!!!!) the race before.

Looking forward to seeing everybody in Oct.
