HOLY CRAP BATMAN YOU ARE SCREWED

just kidding, do a search, common for our trucks, your intercooler probably is caked in oil. need to remove supercharger and clean it. Nothing too really worry about but if you clean it the car will perform better. get an oil seperator.

i must've read oil-in-intake threads for 2 days straight and finally said fark it, i'll live with the oil in the boot. too many opinions and too many differing conclusions and results.

Slick_Sammy -

I feel your reading pain, here's what I've concluded after reading off-and-on for 1 & 1/2 years: Plug the 3 hoses going to the upper plenum, lower manifold and intake boot and put 2 crankcase breathers one each side of the engine, there a ton of pics describing the process on here.

On my '03, here's what my intercooler looked like after 16k with stock PCV system:

http://www.100mphclub.com/phpBB2/alb...hp?pic_id=1499
http://www.100mphclub.com/phpBB2/alb...hp?pic_id=1500
http://www.100mphclub.com/phpBB2/alb...hp?pic_id=1501

Here's what it looked like after 30k and trying the "dime" mod where you replace the passenger side PCV valve with the valve EV-98-B and where you plug the hose going into the upper plenum:
http://www.100mphclub.com/phpBB2/alb...hp?pic_id=1485
http://www.100mphclub.com/phpBB2/alb...hp?pic_id=1484
http://www.100mphclub.com/phpBB2/alb...hp?pic_id=1487

My intake boot was actually clean, so that's why i'm putting breathers on, the "dime" mod didn't do crap. I don't want to tear down this puppy to clean ever again!

Cheers

If you do a "search" on here there are probably a dozen articles on "how to install a separator" - where to buy the parts, what parts, etc. Also you'll out why some guys use them, some guys don't - and some like me that used them and took them off. And you'll find a lot of "results" from a lot of guys who did a lot of experimentation - can save you a lot of time and trouble on all the "gadgets" and "decives" used to try and stop the flow of oil vapors in the intake. And maybe money - you won't have to spend the money a lot of us did in finding out things that either didn't work at all, didn't work well - or seem to work on some vehicles but not on others.
