The Magnum blower has mixed results right now. Do a search and you'll see.

I think KB is the curse of death on a stock block. Power comes on way quicker then the Eaton. Plus it's not very cheap.

If you are looking to have fun on the street, ported blower, 6lb lower, tune, factory tech valve body.

If you're getting back into the racing game, i'm convinced best bang for the buck is above, convertor, traction bars and slicks.

Put you close to, if not into the 11's.

Glad to see your back.......
with my previous truck, stock convertor, i ran 12.31 with 6lb, tune, LT's, cai, exhaust, fan and meziere pump, FTVB, that was at about 4860lbs, with the 50 shot, 11.8's, hard cover with wing, no sway bar, or hitch, i think ported blower and convertor should be enough for 11's and after seeing what an ice cooler did for my 04 cobra, i'm convinced i'll be getting one for the L, my car made 14 more hp and 30 more ft/lbs with an ice cooler for the intercooler

yeah

i agree man, obviously your no rookie. You were one one of the faster trucks back when you had your red beast.

Convertors are huge. hindsight, i wish some of the money i wasted on bettering my et's was on a convertor. Just at the time there were some horror stories with convertors and the last thing i wanna do is pay someone to have to put it in and out 3 times till it's right.

Now I guess the PI seems to the be everyone's first choice, but Gregg Evans has a line that have performed pretty well.

I'm sure you'll be in the 11's again with this truck long before i even get close with the one i've had for 5 years

Beefcake, I have the Magnum Powers blower, I would stay with the ported eaton or a Whipple/Kenny bell before buying this blower. You will have around the same power output of a ported eaton. MD did my dyno tune and I only picked up a grand total of 11 hp. on the top end. I currently have another tuner seeing if he can get more out of my truck. Hope this helps with your decision.

Marc, Yes I got the X-cal2 this past week and installed the street tune. In 3rd gear it seems to pull harder than my MD dyno tuned chip. But ofcourse, it doesn't have the low end of that chip either. I still have to data log for him and send back the results. I think I am going to do it at the track instead of at the dyno due to the dyno not being a load bearing one. I think it should be a great tune when I get it back.

Sounds good Rich. Not to be a wise@ss or anything, but I told you a long time ago that he is the one you should be going to. Once you provide him with the data-log info I am sure you will be more than happy with the results he provides...Let me know...
