I also had trouble with the NXT wax...
Took me a very LONG time and a very SORE arm to get that stuff off the truck..
Looked good when I finally got it off...

wasnt sunny.. wasnt hot.. bout 75ish... I'm also hesitant to use it again.
I think I'll try the Zaino next time...

I agree 100%
The 1st time I used it I was afraid to listen, do the entire truck and then let it dry before removing, (usually I do an area at a time w/ other wax) And I actually did do it in direct sunlight on a hot day, still no problem, the stuff wipes off like it's not even there, woo hoo................

Are we all using the same stuff ??? there are diff types of NXT Gen Wax.
I use the spray on, are some using the new Paste ???
I do find with Meguiars products, some work better than others. For instance I live on the Quik Detailer Spray, I can do a quick touch up on the L in no time, yet the Reg Meguiars Spray wax (in the red bottle) I found absolutely impossible to remove

I use this one

Last time I did it, it came out just as good too

i bought both the spray wax and the liquid wax. are you guys saying you only use the spray wax. i figured i would have to put a good coat of the liquid wax on and just do the in between coats with the spray.

How exactly did you get those swirl/spider marks out in the first pic? (the ones to the right of the Lightning badge). Did you use a swirl remover or something before the NTX or was it just the angle/glare in the first pic? I wish I could get my paint to look that "smooth" in your second and third pic!

Suavy,

Rob's post was talking about the "Tech Wax"...It's very easy to remove (In most cases)

Here's the link to the whole "NXT" line from Meguiars:

http://www.meguiars.com/whatsnew/nxt05.cfm

Most auto parts stores carry it, AdvanceAuto, Autozone, etc...I think I even saw it at a super WalMart.

I used dawn to strip the zaino that was on the truck. then I used mothers clay bar on the spots that had swirls or hairline scratches. Then the NXT paste let dry for 30 min and it comes off with one wipe.

Cool. Didn't know the clay bar took care of swirls/light scratches. I thought it was only for taking embedded dirt/grime out of the paint that normal washing didn't do. Walmart has NTX and I just finished off the last of my Liquid Glass so I have a reason now to buy/try something else now (Liquid Glass is too expensive to let go to waste, lol).

clay bar will NOT remove swirls or scratches. if anything it can create more if not done properly

I used NXT liquid wax on my Silver, and it shined it up big time! I didn't have any trouble getting it off, i put it on one section at a time and it would dry as i went. I'm going to put another coat on, and then i'm going to use the spray wax when i hand wash it. I figure after that i'll need to look at it in the sun!
