my service engine soon light came on
Finally after my problem of guessing what is going on with the truck my SES light comes on.. I took it to auto zone to run a code and code 401 popped up..EGR solenoid the guy told me was bad.. I bought one from ford and i'm gonna put it on tonight...The ford parts guy told me that it was called the DP something and he sells a lot for F150s.. Anyway could the EGR solenoid be the source of my problems?? The low power and torque and sluggish acceleration?? Thanks

check to make sure the green line that runs to the top of the egr did not melt against the egr tube.
DPFE. it's the little metal box that is on the bracket on the drivers side of the blower. It has an electrical connection then 2 rubber hoses that run to the egr tube. The new updated ones have a plastic housing
