Mines got Fox Lake heads and Crower Stg2's; I've only got 350 miles on it, but so far it seems to be very streetable. Actually runs better cruising down the road than the stock motor did. The heads/cams sure do make the truck sound like it's got some ***** now

I'll let you know how they work. For the 50 mile it ran before it failed they worked and sounded great. Had to bump up the idle to 1000 rpm no issues with the breaks ether. They have .601 lift

Peace,

Suavy

My Stg2's are idling at 800 right now with no issues at all; I think I can go a little lower too. It sure wouldn't idle at 600 like the stock motor

I would try to keep the lift down on these Modular heads. I actually wanted some cams that had a 550 lift, but ended up with these 580 lift dude to availability and someones screw up.

I hear you Casey,

I do like the sound of the lobe on the stage 3's though. What I like even more is the quick rap up. In stead of the basic rev it seems to rev like right now. Almost like the quickness of the ricers.

Good luck with whoever's set up you go with. I must say though Jim & Julie really bent over backwards for me on the cams.

Peace,

Suavy

My Crower stage 2's are in, but I am running stock heads. Let me tune this thing some more then I will get it on the dyno in a few weeks.

YES! Mine do make the motor rev quicker; sounds more like a race motor than a "truck" motor.

I have stage 2 heads and cams. IMO, if you are trying to stay streetable(varies from person to person) stage 3 would not be worth it. You would be wasting the capabilites of the stage 3s by having to tune it to be streetable. With stage 2 you can tune to their capabilities without wasting as much of their potential to be streetable. Does that make any sense?

However, what one person sees as streetable another person might feel is too radical for the street. So it depends on what you can live with as a street driven vehicle.
