Latemodel,
I thought you already had a set of Stage 2's kicking around>???
I have Crower Stage 2's in the JDM Long Block. NO driveability issues and am probably getting close to 3,000 miles on it.
I miss the lope of the Comp Stage 3's, got the idle down low on those and they sounded mean.
Jim wants to re-tune my truck anyways so maybe we can drop the idle on the Crowers a tiny bit. -Mat-

LFP is $1395 plus your heads shipped back to him... and I forget the price on Crowers, but they are cheaper than anyone else...

Here's a couple of good articles regarding Patroit's heads and cams. It's probably been linked before. JDM was running the dyno

This article makes me want to do heads, cams and headers. I wonder what the average gains of HP/TQ are on our trucks with heads and Stage II cams?

i was just curious how the people here that run the patriot heads feel about them...i have heard a couple bad stories about them, like any kind of performance part there is always someone that isn't happy. can some people running the heads shed some light on their experience? how much boost they lost with the combo? thanx

I have some but i can get new ones along with sprigns and everything for only 300 more so i just want to sell them and buy the head/cam already ready to bolt on.Less for me to mess up.

So far, so good. I had heard some of the "horror" stories as well. Then when I started reading about the heads I found that very few of the stories came from the actual people who had the problem. It was always "my friend" or "a guy I know" who had the problems. As I read further I also found that the heads were always fixed or replaced within reason. Sounds like good customer service.

There were issues with the heads. I am not saying there were not any problems. Gunnar at Patriot was very upfront in telling me there had been problems with the valve guides but they had since been corrected. When I got the heads they were top notch. Great workmanship.

I guess I took a chance but it has paid off very well. Time will tell.

i'm going with patriot stage 3 heads with crower stage 2's. I decided on the stage 2 cams because of the gains throughout the entire powerband. the stage 3's will give you top end but you loos low end with them
