Lightning drop spindles now available
Many Lightning owners have been waiting for this part which should address the most annoying problem resulting from drop springs; BUMP STEER.
The Belltech part # is 2350 and availability is 2-3 weeks. I just called Summit and the cost is $229.99. With millions of F-150s out there and 1 supplier, the best thing to do is to place a back order.

Just so people understand, those who already have drop springs should not buy these spindles -- they will add a couple more inches of drop, but will do nothing to mitigate the bump steer that you already have. They won't make it any worse, but they won't make it any better either. And your total drop will now be too low for anything other than boulevard cruising.
These are designed to be used with stock height springs. If you use them and install shorter than stock springs, you will get the same bump steer that the short springs introduce.

Spindles would be more work to install. You would need to remove both the upper and lower ball joints (only the uppers with a spring swap), remove the tie rod ends, and swap the rotors and bearings over to the new spindles.
I would say that the install would be about the same, spindles might be a little more involved,, the ride would be better with the spindles, because you are not going to a shorter spring, or reducing suspension travel

Obviously, many have invested time and money in selecting coils. I may have found a solution that may work in conjunction with the spindles. Energy suspension has a 1" spring isolator specific to the F-150 #4.6106 which is usually used to add a 1" lift but may work great here. It is shaped like the stock isolator (not flat like most aftermarket) and also pockets the coils. Its a niece piece made of high density polyurethane.
The spec. on the spindles is a 2" drop and if you have 1.5" coils, this isolator should bring you back up 1 to 1.25".

Hey Tim or other suspension guru's
I want a drop with stock ride quality. I have 22's so I will not be hitting the road coarse anytime soon. If I get the drop spindles for the front, what should I do to drop down the rear? I have a 2003 with 2 or 3 inch drop shackles right now.

Yep - the hangers are what the front leaf spring eye mount to. You have to drill/grind/punch the rivits out and bolt on the replacements. The new ones raise the mounting point of the front eye to drop the rear.
