I bought my 99 lightning in December of 04 with 90K on the odometer for $12,000. It now has 96K on the odo and the motor runs great. Its basically stock, with a drop in K&N, dual Flowmasters and a superchips tune. I dynoed it 2 months ago and RWHP was 361. I think thats awesome for a truck that almost has 100 grand on it.

Just the other day I thought the truck was running sluggish and slow. I then tallied up the approximate weight of the stuff I was hauling in the bed and it was close to 1000 pounds. Took out the 10 boxes of porcelein tile, 2 bags of thinset, 1 bag of grout, and (4) 50 lb pails of chemical (4 x 50 = 200) and the truck is hauling butt again.

Badbolt, I say get the truck. If anything, it's an awesome work truck. That's what it is for me. Everyone loves it.

Yeah, I know it. I guess im living in the past when gas was under $2.00. Ill just stick with a accord or something.

But it would still be sick to have an L as a beater.
