PS, sorry for redirecting the thread!!
It's my dad's now. I'm not sure if or when he plans on getting rid of it. He's been in the process of looking for a gen 2 (maybe) and definately a street rod.
I wouldn't let him ever sell that truck for parts though if I'm reading what you posted correctly. The truck is in good condition w/ only 60k miles.

He's looking to buy a Gen 1 or mod his impala. I think he's looking at putting 5k into his lead sled, even want's to purchase my eaton I recently had changed out! He does really like the Gen1's though, so he does have some taste!! Ask your Dad and I'll relay the info to my co-worker tomorrow upon your reply.

Yes, but it also does it without applying the brakes... even does it in reverse. I had my mom roll down the street in my truck and if you put your head right by the wheel you can hear it.. and it's hard to explain but if you take your hand and kinda push on the center cap it makes the same noise.

LA, why not remove that center cap and try it again? it might just be the center cap that should be coverd by your warenty.

No I'd like to hit up the track next weekend... so the XPs will be going on. I didn't get the chrome 04s yet, I'm hoping before the summer though!

Hey Leeann,

Try this (on a closed coarse with a professional driver), Make the noise happen and put the truck in neutral, see if the noise still happens. Also, try making the noise happen, then shut the truck off while you are rolling (Put the key back on after the truck is off so you have some steering). But be real careful.

Doing those two things will help isolate the problem.

That was my disclaimer in case you tried it and smacked the truck up. Is the noise still there? Have you tried what I suggested?

LMAO!!

At work, we had a foreman who was a complete ***.
He had a little Ranger that was the Companies work truck, so while he wasn't around, we went under the truck and put some Tyraps around the driveshaft, without cutting the excess length off of them. It made a hell of a racket. Drove him nuts for an hour.
