The current 4 x 4 Sport Trac is 4349. I don't see how it wouldn't gain weight considering it'll have IRS, bigger wheels/tires/brakes, the Cobra motor (iron block, 4V heads, blower and all it's related components), bigger trans, etc. for the '07 SVT version.

I don't mind fomoco making it. However them trying to brand it as an SVT is too much for me.

What they are doing is loosing touch with the basics of why SVO..er I mean SVT is so popular. The basic hot rod guy/gal who's into too much hp and would rather steer with the rear. Something viseral and will flat out perform on a track.

The AWD adrenalin I'm sure will be a fine truck-ish-thingy. But don't lable it as a SVT.

Maybe they should do something like they did with the H.D.?

It looks like the white Sport-Trac concept they had before. All shaved and neato. I think they just changed the color and interior. I don't think a production car will come with shaved door handles. Well, I have been out drinking a lot lately and I noticed while watching TV at the bar, that it (Adrenaline) looks exactly like the new Audi from the front. The Audi is red in the commercial and has the same color grille or whatever that shield on the front is called. I like the idea, but not the looks. Bratz should be coming soon for me and I really need a family mover. I have debated trading the L in on an HD or an SRT. The wife has decided that she picks her vehicle for kids and I keep the L. So all in all I live with what she picks for herself. Oh. Gotta go, MXC is on!

Just my $0.02.

This concept was actaully mentioned a few years back but never materialized. Back then SVT labed it the SVT Tremor, which that name since went to the Ranger truck with the sound system.
It was described as a explorer based utility with awd and 400hp.

Now I think it will be reality. I love the Lightnings but for me the AWD will be a plus with our snow. I will be keeping my Gen1 for racing and part time driver, if they produce the Adrenalin and price is not too far out there it will be my next tow vehicle.

Its still a SVT product that is trying to appeal to everyone. I like the concept and hope the production model is as appealing as the concept.

Who knows, maybe ford is working on AWD Lightning. Only time will tell.
The Adrenalin may be the test platorm for that concept.

Just saw adreneline at Atl auto show

Actually looked pretty good, but reps said they couldn't open it to see interior. Based on new Sporttrac which in turn is based on new Exploder with IRS. It should find its own niche. The dog would like having the room, so I'm not going to show it to him!
