I Touched the new Adrenalin
those came from my buddies camera... I swear.
The FUN POLICE (read: my girlfriend) made me not to promise not to take any girlie pics. Since I was already awaiting sentencing on the charges of "going out of town without her", I abided by the request.
the only proof I can offer is that if you look in the people/places folder, I am in alot of the photos. obviously I couldn't take those either.
that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!
I don't particularly like the look, but hopefully they will tame it down a tad for production. I LOVE my L, but I'll drop it in a heartbeat to have High HP AND AWD. I miss my Typhoon every day I stomp on the gas and peel out for 30 seconds before I really start moving in my L. I think SVT has a winner on their hands, if they can make it look good.
Ford says it will be at least mid-2005 before a Lightning built around the new F-Series bodywork and chassis will be available.
Did anyone else catch this??

An all-new intake manifold helps to efficiently channel the supercharged fuel-air mixture into the cylinders. Fuel comes from a dual-bore electronic throttle body borrowed from Ford's 6.8-liter truck engine program. While supercharging is a key element in the Shelby Cobra GT500's ability to generate so much horsepower, another major contributing component is the design of the cast-aluminum, four-valve cylinder heads sourced from the Ford GT supercar.
Developed specifically for supercharged applications, these high-performance heads use high-flow ports and specially calibrated dual-overhead camshafts to deliver optimum engine "breathing" along with surprisingly good fuel efficiency and emissions. Also borrowed for use in the GT500 are the Ford GT's proven piston rings and connecting "

I guess that answers that huh!

Keeping my Lightning (it IS a classic as the days go by)
Saving for a new Camaro (if FORD can't sell me the Shelby for a reasonable cost)
GTO ..ugly over priced
Corvette out of my price range and too exclusive.
Dodge way too expensive
Mustang ..poor mans only hope now.
Hopefully the Camaro will be pretty, not wimp out and will not cost like a mini Vette.
My 2 cents

It says nothing about forged rods. Should be interesting.

It says rods, pistons and heads from the Ford GT.
looks like I will be keeping this truck a long, long time...
I would never drive that thing... they are so "dumpy" looking IMO. I don't care how fast it is, or about the AWD...its too awkward looking.
If they are saying this is the result of the Lightning community's wants/suggestions...I personally think they are off target...
the HD solved the cab space issue some people had, and provided similar speed as well... and as far as AWD, they can keep it...I like all the power outback...AWD is for cars and rally vehicles...not hot rods .... its just my .02

GM's only success right now is in China. GM is showing its Chinese partners everything they know. And we all know how strategically sound that is in the long term
"GM may be struggling in its established markets but it's going well in new ones. GM will start exporting from China in the future. Your future Buick might be made in Shanghai, not Michigan."
My question is, with all the jobs moved to China, who will be left to buy those cars and once GM has tought the Chinese everything they know, why would they even need GM?
