Can I play too

I went from a 4 + 2 + Ported Eaton to a Mag + 8lb.
The diff is night and day, the entire characteristics of the truck changed, not even anything close to what it use to be, 2nd gear burn outs from 30-40 MPH without trying, a whine that is 2nd to none, low end torque that is just endless, I see NOR FEEL no similarities AT ALL compared to my Ported Eaton set up.
Don't worry, you'll have at least 2 more 10 sec Mag's very shortly.

Why this turned into anything more than what it should have is beyond me, this started out as one of the best Post, but hey if we want to talk honestly, LETS DO IT.

Why don't some of the KB users tell us how many times their units have failed??? How their on their 2nd or 3rd units. How many have failed in the first few minutes, I witnessed 1, it happen to Bob yesterday, that’s 2 I happen to know of, (theirs more). I have more than a few friends running KB's, "only 1 is still on the original unit" Most are on their 2nd or 3rd, SOME MORE.

I stand by my statement and decision, as far as I'm concerned,
there is only "1" aftermarket S/C out their reliable enough from MY LIGHTNING, and that is clearly the Magnum Powers.
I am 100% satisfied and would highly recommend it to ANYONE.

BTW
How come no one ever talks about the numerous KB's out there on stock blocks running 12's ????

Your ported Eaton was an affordable upgrade and you posted that you were very thrilled by the performance of it. Now that you have a MP, you are discrediting it as an upgrade? Remember that Steigmeier's latest port job is head and shoulders above the duplicate job done on yours.

KB's have failed, MP's have failed/leaked etc.. Surely not in the numbers that KB's have, but then again I can count on two hands how many people here have MP's and I cant even imagine how many people have KB's.

There are plenty of trucks with stock blocks running 12's and 11's with KB's. Two, count them two L's here on stock blocks are mid 11's and it makes the MP the best blower out there? Lets not forget Charlie and Johnny and others that ran mid 11's two to three years ago on the stock block and Eaton with no nitrous. How quickly we forget. Or even JDM themselves running 11 teens on the stock eaton, no nitrous. Imagine if they had the benefit of a portjob back then.

Has anyone even seen the latest Steigmeier port job? especially the inlet? If you havent, you owe it to yourself to check it out before plunking down almost 2k for a MP.

and while we are letting it all hang out here, let me tell you that I was not the least bit impressed with the Fridge running 10.99 at 20lbs of boost, 4500lbs and in 38 degree weather.

I did it by taking 2 pictures with the backs (rotor bearing wall) at the exact same distance and roughly traced the outline. Beat that Mr. CAD smarty pants! A first grader with a crayon could do it.

Steve, by NO MEANS am I saying anything bad about my ported Eaton, I loved my Ported Eaton Where did you come up with that ???
What I said was the diff is NIGHT AND DAY compared to it.

And your right about there being more ET KB trucks out there, it's been out a lot longer.

I ask 3 things of my L, Comfort, Performance, and Reliability,
so as I said, when it was time to upgrade the S/C, there was only "1 choice"

I'm not sure who you are referring to here. I posted my results when I went from a port eaton to a MP. I thought that is what this post was about? The point isn't what are the physical differences, but when do those differences turn into a performance benefit.

You have made a lot of changes with the install of your MP include a rebuild of what turned out to be a tired motor. If you want to see what I see, lower that lower pulley down to 6lb and do a comparison between a MP and ported eaton. Your MP should be outperforming, since you whent from 4+2 to 8+2..

I bought this product - my comments are not sideline pile-on comments from someone with no first hand experience. I have also been very specific to qualify what I seen was on my 6lb lower stock block truck.

For the record, no I was not referring to anything you said.
You are un-happy, Charles came on line right here in front of the world and said YES I will buy it back. NO ONE can ask for more than that.

Last time I saw some one say they were unhappy with another S/C, the owner came on line and started calling everyone an *******, refused to take it back, and then started voiding wrrnty's

a 10 second run is sure unimpressive.

Comfort is irrelevant.

The MP is too new to make any accurate reliability predictions.

Performance, then, is the sole criterion.

They have refined the port over the years. I don't know if what you get today is much different than 6 months ago though.
