I disagree. Few would dispute that I get straight to the point. Friend or foe, I call a spade a spade. Just look at the first two words in this paragraph.

And it does ruffle some feathers from time to time. But nothing like I have seen with fomocofan.

IMNSHO, especially on the 'Net, directness is an asset, not a liability. It's more about demeanor. There is a difference between calling bullsh*t and just picking a fight. The line can be subtle, but people can usually recognize it when they see it.

Hi my name is Jeronimo I go by Suavy on these boards. I was hoping that some one that has a JLP cage could measure where your rear support bars go in to the bed and pass that info on to me.

I waitted to the last min and am just hoping to save some time.

Thank you and I hope to see you all at the track this year!

Thanks for bringing sense to this.

Jamie - I do get it and i read the entire thread. What you are missing is that Suavy didnt ask about any angles and Lmenace just happened to answer correctly but made the mistake of using correct logic that happened to include one of your hot buttons. the word ANGLE... lmenace didnt have exact measurements to offer so he offered the correct info that was that the placement would depend on the angle.

You saw the word Angle and went off like a roman candle....

I agree with Bill and I realise that you dont see the problems that your approach causes. He is right you are a nice guy but your approach Try rereading the posts as a casual observer - a detatched 3rd party ..

Doug

OMG Doug...

I know Suavy didn't ask about angles...That is what I am saying....
Everyone else is answering him with angles and it DOESN"T answer his question!!
If he didn't ask for angles...how is Lmenance answering him with an angle comment answering the question??

NOBODY has answered his question here...HE NEEDS TO KNOW WHERE TO CUT THE HOLES!!!

He doesn't want to know the angle and to have to fiqure out where to cut the holes, he simply wants a measurement from a reference point such as back of cab or distance from the side wall etc...so that he doesn't have to fiqure angles!!

This whole thread is a mess because you and the others don't get it!

I am glad Suavy, Bill and I are on the same page!

You are giving me a hard time because you don't get it...Doug I know you mean well, but you are not correct here!

Personally, I have stopped caring anymore..about this or anything else on here...

I have tried to help people many times and it never works out...

Do whatever you want...Ban me, have me arrested, fined or whatever...

I am done with this!!!

I will now remove the word "ANGLE" from my vocabulary that is employed on F150online.

Can someone take some pictures for Suavy? He's a helluva nice guy, and although he may be competition for others with roll bars, he deserves someone to go out and snap a few pictures.

C'mon folks - if there's and L in town (San Antonio) with a roll bar - I"LL GO MEASURE THE SPOTS FOR THE DAMN HOLES!

Suavy is in need of help that shouldn't be THAT difficult to provide. I think that he deserves at least a little assistance after everything HE does for everyone else.

sorry - rant off,
Herb

People respond to posts all the time with info that doesn't answer the question being asked. It's not a crime... let it go!

I was trying to help them understand what Suavy needed, he is a great guy and needs our help...I don't have a problem with it at all...Everyone one else was on my case for trying to straighten out the confusion..

Everyone thought his question was answered and meanwhile Suavy stil needs help...

It's not about me at all...And I don't have a hot button, it's just that they weren't getting the point of what he needs!

Suavy has done a lot for fellow Lightning owners and many people in need of X-plans...

I just couldn't standby and having people think that he was looking for the "A" word...

BTW, most of my post are answering people like you ( no offense meant ) that comment to me or about me and don't get it or can't see that this issue was resolved days ago...
Thanks for bringing it up again!

BTW, Doug I hope it is ok for me to respond here, I felt that I was being addressed here and needed to explain once again my point of view..
I in no way want to keep this "arguement" going!!

Oh yeah, everyone's WAY too stupid to understand what was being asked!!! The fact that Suavy came back and said he was still looking for an answer wasn't a clue to anyone. Good thing you kept coming back.

Thanks for helping out. Get off it already!!!

50 bucks says you can't let this go. It'll eat you up inside. You'll have to respond...

question

if you have a prefabbed Roll BAR.....a 6 point roll bar with a hoop, 2 rear supports, and two front removable bars...........what is the rules as far as welding the pieces together. I was told that they are supposed to be welded in a certain way and you were not allowed to grind the weldes once welded. Any info on that?

Not to hijak suavy's post or anything.
