You drag limit depends on HP, and for a stock L the drag limit is ~145.

I'm sure 176 is the drag limit for one with 150 more hp or so, and your drag limit will go even higher and higher along with HP, although hp wil increase exponentially and not in a linear way with top speed.

isn't the drag limit the maximum speed something can go due to the aerodynamics? there has to be a speed where the L cuts out. however the time in which you reach that speed is a different story

top speed is limited by a few things.
1. Aerodynamic Drag .... you need more hp to over come this
2. Gear Ratios .... the way they are set up makes all the difference

You know, 180mph is amazingly fast for a vehicle with a large coefficent of drag like our trucks. im sure it can be done but not much fast than that.

HP can overcome drag. But to push an L past 176 MPH I would guess you would need at least 900 flywheel HP.

you're talking about terminal velocity i believe. terminal velocity depends on (among other things) horsepower...
