How good are JLP engines?

Lets just say that I know of one that has been in use for 1 1/2 years with absolutley no problems whatsoever. It has about 8K miles on it with about 200 1/4 mile runs.

Its also run a best of 10.59.

Its so good, that Charlie, after taking it for a run down the 1/4 mile was qouted as saying "that thing is smooth".
Can you guess who's truck this motor is in?

Great price, great product.

I'll call ya when my HD needs a new bullett JL

Later...

Bruce

First page says $3,400 for a SB, now it's $2,900 for a SB, that's a better deal.

He did say that he takes trade-ins! 2900 is obviously after trade, and he said as low as...I would assume that ot all trades are valued the same, i.e. some may not have heads or blocks with any core value!

i bought jlp's short block because of the balancing and the balancing alone.

i did'nt really know what pistons or rods they used. i just figured they spent that much attention to the machine work, it woul'dnt matter what parts they used.

its my belief that if the stock motors had this type of balance they would hold up better to our abuse.

my 2 cents

I trimmed out much of the CRAP that had started in this thread.

Please have enough repsect for your fellow members and the Supporting vendors who work ahrd to offeryou options to NOT drag this back into the toilet ...
