I can't confirm the gains because I put my E-Fan on with other modes.

I have a JDM fan kit and it's only set up to run on low speed (high speed is only with the manual switch) with the temp switch and it has never given me a hint of difficulty with the cooling in stop and go traffic in the 100+ Texas summers.

Do not buy an e-fan expecting to make ANY additional HP or TQ. If your truck does - great. But I didn't see it..

Now I really like the e-fan for cooling down quicker at the track after a run.

hmm i noticed a little difference, and my dyno proves that it was a little help along the way. of course i installed too many parts at once to figure out what did what...but it couldnt have hurt. I have been running it for a week with no problems. and here in FL its 85 or so. and I can run it with the ac on without problems, the truck seems happy.

I do not know how much HP it unlocked, but it is a better mod than a T/B on a near stock motor. Actually it has been a top 5 mod IMO. Bottom line is get it.. And take the caps lock off of your computer please...LOL

Angry Several lightning friends have informed me its a worthless mod??

"Several lightning friends have informed me its a worthless mod some saying they are thinking about installing the stock fan back on, one said he has had two electric fans and none worked as claimed he put stock fan back on. And dynoed same horsepower with stock fan saying don't come crying to me when you burn your motor up with electic fan. the stock fan will pull more air than any electric fan. And don't be misled of claims of 10 to 15 horsepower increases just a bunch of bull$%__^ oh well scratch one electric fan,

Having an e-fan does make changing pulley's easier. I can change my ring on the interchangable lower pulley from on top without jacking up the truck.

Would you also jump off a building with them?

It WILL free up hp. And any decent aftermarket e-fan kit will flow more air than the mech fan at both idle and high speed.

I don't feel it's my place to tell the world about fords specs. However I'll just say to trust me on this one. An e-fan is a perfectly fine mod for 99% of the Gen2 Lightning guys. (1%ers being extended idling and heavy towing)

I dont know about hp gains, but living in AZ where the temps are always over 100 in the summer, it was worth the money just so I wouldnt have to listen to that damn fan noise when the clutch grabbed EVERY time I slowed down below 30 mph.

Never had any cooling problems, ran it all last summer.. 110+ temps, with the AC on.
