Also be advised that the cage is held on with a bolt up above and two down below... the one up above you get at from the hood......
I did not relize there was 3 when I took mine off and I thought I did some serious damage when trying to remove the stock pulley. I thought I may have bent my harmonic balancer... but it was several thousand miles ago and all is good.

I did basically the same as Suavy; put my L up on jackstands and got the longest piece of pipe I could put over my breaker bar to get as much leverage as I could to put on the pulley bolt. Laying underneath the truck, I didnt think for a while I'd ever break it loose - but all of sudden - it broke loose. So just be prepared for it to be tight - but it will come loose.
