new to this forum, with questions...
First things first - hello to you all, it is good to be here! I was glad to find a forum in which I could look through and meet other Lightning owners...hope to learn all that I can, and to share what I have learned elsewhere with you as well.
I recently purchased a 2002 Lightning SVT, and am quite impressed with the power behind the stock engine. My question mainly pertains to the total amount of boost that can be added to the engine safely, on stock internals. I am considering adding a 100 shot of nitrous to it, but am concerned with any problems that may arise...the truck only has 19K miles on it, so its definately not old - but I dont want to tear it apart this early in its lifespan and dont exactly have the $$ necessary to rebuild the upper end. Any advice on how far to go before looking into new internals?
Thank in advance,
