If you can't follow the instructions that came from Metco, you better not attempt to do this install. I found their instructions to be clear and very easy to follow....
Look around and do a search and you shall find them pretty easy if you really need them.

I can do a quick "How To" on that : o )

STEP ONE, Remove Inspection Cover.

STEP TWO, Remove a Convertor Nut and use supplied Bracket to Lock Convertor to Bell Housing.

STEP THREE, Remove the Cage Bolts.

STEP FOUR, Remove Pulley by using supplied Allan Key Socket.

STEP FIVE, Remove the Original Lower Pulley and Cage.

STEP SIX, Install the New Pulley using (3)supplied Allan Bolts.

Great instructions Rob. The pics really help. Remember, DON'T FORGET TO TAKE OFF THE CONVERTER LOCKUP BRACKET.

Sorry for the caps, I just wanted to stress that to folks

another one

make sure you use a 14mm 6 POINT socket to take the convertor nuts off to use the strap.

Was helping someone with a pulley this weekend and they didn't have a 6 point, needless to say, all the bolts were on there tight and with the 12 point, the nuts were doomed.

now, if you for some reason need to put the stock caged pulley back on, can you tell that an aftermarket pulley WAS on there if you do a need job with 6pt sockets?

no

the 6 point socket is to ensure that the convertor nuts don't strip when you are trying to remove them. Mine came right off no problem but the one i did last week would not come off. When we originally put the pulley on, i had to put a floor jack under the handle of the ratchet to break one loose. But who ever installed the built tranny put a hurtin on the nuts.

The 12 point just runs more of a risk of stripping.

Dude,

Before you do this proceedure, be advised that the stock pulley is a clockwise-off threaded piece. Get a nice, long breaker bar and wear gloves, and pad your forearms with something, because when it does break loose, your breaking torque is going to carry your body parts straight into a new realm of pain, so be sure you've padded yourself as advised earlier. You might find yourself ripping your backside open with the strain. That's why lesser men and women cannot own Lightnings!

By the way, the "quick change" aspect of the lower kits is so NOT true. Complete pullies are just as hindered as hub pullies by the PITA stock fan.
